  1. Oh wow, it's so simple. Thank you so much!
  2. I have the same question, but a different use case -- My guitar picking part is almost on beat, but just slightly off, and I would like to make it perfectly on beat -- I would like the transient markers to be converted to Flex Markers, and to automatically snap to the beat so I do not have to go in and drag each flex marker. Is there a way to do that? Thank you!
  3. Hello! I recorded a ukulele picking pattern and was wondering if there was a way to have polyphonic time flex markers lock into place automatically? Logic has the dotted lines which show that the picking is really close to the beat, but I need to manually go and drag each individual one. Is there a way for it to automatically lock onto the beat? Thanks so much! Here's a screenshot
  4. I figured it out... in case anyone ever has this problem - double check to make sure that you have the software instrument track selected, and not an audio track... haha... all downloads should just appear in your library after restarting your computer
  5. As you can see, in the first screenshot, the sound options that I am left with above are quite basic. This all started when I was trying to find an accordion sound. I was on forums, and saw that people recommended the Boldt pack which includes accordion. I downloaded that onto my computer and installed it, shut down the computer, and then restarted. Couldn't find it in my library. Went back on forums and saw that Logic had accordion options, so I decided to try to download all all available Logic sounds. In addition to my question above, anyone know how to access the Boldt pack in Logic Pro X? Do I not just search for it in Sounds?
  6. Hi, sorry this is a really stupid question, but I can't figure it out -- I recently downloaded all available sounds from the Logic Pro X --> Sound Library --> Download All Available sounds. (I didn't move anything into different folders, and I downloaded this in whatever default folder it goes into.) After I did this, I haven't been able to find the sounds that I usually use, like the Yamaha grand piano for example. Usually, I just type Yamaha, and it shows up, but this time, the search is empty. Any idea how I can reaccess my old sounds in addition to the new ones?
  7. Thank you for all of your answers! This has been solved! For some strange reason (I've never changed the settings and never had this issue!) the sound output preferences on my headphones had been changed to the right, and so I recentered the balance through system preferences like David suggested and it fixed the problem... Thank you so much again for all of your help!!! I'm so relieved I don't have to try to rerecord everything only to have the same issue crop up again.
  8. David, that makes sense, will not message outside of the forum. Fuzzfilth, I see what you mean about doing a screenshot while it's playing, here is one attached. I am listening through studio headphones which is what made me realize the right side was much louder than the left. If there's no glaring error, perhaps it is my mic set up. I haven't changed anything from previous recordings, but I'll test it out on my next recording. For this recording, I think I will just pan it to the left until it sounds balanced to my ears. Are there any consequences to balancing out this way? Unfortunately, I can't rerecord it. There's another thing I haven't been able to figure out. The Audio Device at the top of the Mixer refers to my audio interface, correct? Why is it set at 40 and what does that mean (in my screenshot)? Should I change it? Thanks!
  9. I did a screen recording, but this forum doesn't allow me to post mp4s and movs. I can send it to you separately so you can hear exactly what I'm referring to. Here are some screenshots. Does this help? Thanks again
  10. Thanks fuzzfilth. I've attached another screenshot here. Here, I've gained a balance to my ears with headphones after panning the recordings to the left to balance it out. Not sure if this is the right thing to do though. So the Audio Device at 12 has nothing to do with it?
  11. Hello, My vox, which I want dead center in my mix, is strangely panned to the right and the left channel is extremely quiet. As you can see in the screenshot, I didn't pan it at all, so it should be in the center. Does it have anything to do with the "Audio Device" at 12 which I circled in red on the attached screenshot? What does the "Audio Device" mean, and and why is it at 12? I didn't adjust anything in my audio interface or on Logic, so not sure why this happened. How do I adjust it back to the normal settings? Is there a way to center my vox without having to re record everything? (Like should I just pan everything to the left to balance it out and use my ear till it sounds centered?) I tried to adjust the 12 in the "Audio Device" to 0 and even -12 but it didn't change the sound at all. Thank you!
  12. Hello! I recorded an entire ukulele part at 98 bpm and decided to slow sections of it down by simply editing the global tempo rather than rerecording it. However, when I go to record vocals over it, Logic Pro also then slows down my vocal part even more and so it does not line up with the uke part though when I am singing it, it does. Is there a way to simply change the tempo using automation within the ukulele track (and not the global tempo), OR bypass the global tempo change for my vocal track? There are only audio files, and no midi files. I hope this makes sense. Thank you!
  13. Thanks for your help! I tried Flex Pitch but it didn't really work. A lot of the higher pitches don't have a bar that I could move, and so it sounded glitchy. I went to a Tune-Yards concert where the lead musician, Merrill, was playing a ukulele, but I think she had some sort of pedal that made it sound just like a bass guitar. It was very convincing. I thought there might be some sort of pedal in Logic Pro that could make a ukulele sound like an acoustic guitar, but I couldn't find anything. Do you know of any pedals that might work?
