  1. Hi there everyone hope you are well, Been a while since i posted here, but used the forum a while back and got really good help. Essentially I haven't used Logic Pro in a while, and since a year ago or so I bought an M1 Mac mini. I was wondering, is it possible to transfer my plugins over to the mini from my macbook pro? I have a range of plugins such as; 1) Initial audio 2) akai professional 3) AIR Music Technology 4) Cableguys 5) Linplug 6) Singomakers 7) SONiVOX 8) Serato 9) Ample Sound plus some others. Is it possbile to move these over to my mac mini m1? if so, how do you go about it? appreciate the help
  2. hi, i had to copy and paste it all back out of the new folder, and now it all works again. only thing now that crashes logic pro x is heat up 3 and sektor, from initial audio... any idea?
  3. Hi everyone, need some major help. I opened my Logic Pro X after months of inactivity, and now I want to use it again... however... For some reason when I click on the apple loops, when i drag them into the project i get a message that says "Sound Library assets are missing from project - Some assets in this project will be missing until the volume with the Sound Library is reattached." oddly, the sounds are usable, but they are playing in a weird keyboard synth type of affect... 1) what the hell is this? 2) how do i fix it! I previously (ages ago) relocated my apple library to my external hard drive, and i can recall now, that here i moved the 'library' folder into a main folder called 'logic' (ugh), so is my only option to copy it back out of this folder and get rid of the folder called 'logic' that i placed it in?
  4. its so confusing! As far as I am aware I do not have flex turned on before dragging the loop. The file attached is what it looks like before I drag anything in When dragging in an 'apple loop' it comes up with a message asking if you would like to import the tempo info. I click yes. Drop a 90 and 80bpm loop in, under region the box saying 'follow tempo' gets ticked and when I save the project, the loops do not change. When dragging in an 'untagged' loop, and repeat the exact same process above, it is only after saving the project, that the second loop added (which isn't the same as the initial) i.e if I drag an 80bpm loop in first, the second one added being a 90bpm loop, matches the first one (80) but then after saving, it springs back to its original 90 length lol but then after the 'save' any new 90bpm loops added, will match the first 80bpm loop. head spin much...!
  5. Hi triplets, yes i have a midi keyboard, the AKAI mpk mini plugged in Yes sure David, see screen shot attached
  6. no weirdly it is set to KEEP. If I change to ADAPT, it still jumps out of sync once saved, lol got to laugh or end up crying at this point
  7. yeah thats right, but upon saving, this box is no where to be seen, instead it shows flex time and 'follow tempo' gets greyed out and i am left with 'on', 'off', 'on +align bars', 'on + align bars and beats' as options
  8. ok spoke too soon, weirdly it seems to have a mind of its own.. For about 3 saves under file new, it didnt mess the tempo up, and now regardless of template or new, it is messing the tempo. It's just a template I created with screen sets to flick between mix and piano roll, nothing complex
  9. Hi David, So... when I do project 'file > new from template, this is when it will mess with the tempo and put it out of sync. It doesn't mess up when i just do file > new. I added an 80bpm loop first, which changed the global tempo down to 80, and then added 90bpm loop which corrected itself to 80bpm too. Then when i saved the project, the 90bpm loop returned to its original tempo (showing up as smaller in length then the 80bpm). If I go to the inspector menu under 'region' there is an option called 'flex and follow' this is set to 'on' (when creating a project from file new or file new from template. however, when saving it, if created with file new project from template, in region settings the box to tick which says 'follow tempo' box to tick, disappears and then flex time and follow tempo get greyed out and i am left with 'on', 'off', 'on +align bars', 'on + align bars and beats' as options. However the option stays set to follow tempo when choosing file new
  10. Hi everyone, A quick question (hopefully with an easy explanation).. when I create a new project, the BPM is typically set to 120. Now, when I drag wav loops in from my own sound library, if for example the BPM of a sample is 90, but project tempo is 120, it will increase the speed of this sample. Same is true if project tempo is 120 but sample is 140, it will slow it down. What I am finding is this. When I drag say a loop sample in which is 122BPM and project tempo is 120, it all works fine, the 122 sample is reduced to match the 120. So far so good. The problem comes when I save the project. Once I save the track I am working on the project seems to magically correct the samples to their original tempo, which then puts the entire project out of sync. I have been doing a little 'work around' by simply dragging in a loop which isnt matching the project tempo, saving it, letting it correct the loop to whatever it is originally, then deleting it, and re-dragging it back in to the project. Any future saves will now not replace the project tempo. any ideas?
  11. For anyone following and reading this thread and having the same issues, I have somehow now resolved this issue. What I did was this: 1) Relocated Apple music library onto a new SSD hd 2) Moved all the EXS files and Wav audio files into the newly created music library (Sampler instruments, within in a custom folder) 3) Re-indexed the apple loops 4) Opened the EXS files in ESX24 in logic 5) played each sample and located the file on the new SSD where applicable (some files it didn't ask, other times it asked to locate it) - select the file path on your external HD SSD> sampler instruments job done! Moving to the new SSD was the best decision I made! thank goodness
  12. Ah ok, Yes some are apple loop format, some are EXS24, a lot of one hits in Wav format etc In regards to this > ''Adding Loops from another disk or partition" - The loops will be added to the loop browser, where they will be available in your songs. Choose whether to have logic copy the loops to the apple loops folder, or use them from their current location. If i select copy to the apple loops folder, do they become part of the apple sound library?
  13. I was talking about samples/3rd party sounds and loops I have purchased. Not too fussed about Apples own loops
  14. Ok I understand now, how come it won't effect speed? surely load time of the samples would be quicker
