  1. Hi, I was wandering... Is it somewhat possible to change drummer tracks parts by music genre and not by choosing a drummer and then twiking the part setup/preset? I mean, it's quite annoing to me hearing always the same part every time I create a new drummer track, and then trying to change it in some way. It would be great if I could start off a 'genres' or 'styles' library, so I could for example start from a 'jungle' track, and then twick it, instead of starting always from the same generic 'rock' track and then trying to figure out how to make the drummer play 'jungle' style out of it. T'd like to start from the main style (jungle, jazz, metal, funk) and only after that start to modify the parts. Is it maybe possible in some way?
  2. Sorry I currently don't have any particular setting. I'm quite a newbe, in fact. Are you sure you're on a hi hat sample?
  3. If I assign one of them to my controller, and the track is inside a track stack, it won't work
  4. Honestrly I don't know. I get the 7 values when right clicking a note. Keep in mind you have to be on a dkd track.
  5. Hi. I'd really like to compose some music with drum machines, but I don't like the inability of adding articulations to hi hats. Drum kit Designer (standard drums) have this ability. So to me, would be ideal to have drum machines kiks, snares and so on, which I like a lot, mixed with DKD hi hats. Is it some way possible?
  6. Hi, I want that, hi hat in every key, because I want to do some hi hats line. I followed several tuts on youtube, and all seem to have some hi hat sample available on the various synths menus. The usually use a software inst. track, set it to alchemy, ultrabeat, or some other synth, and thn drag drop a sample on them or select hi hat from their main select menu (top right select). But it seems my Logic Pro (currently 10.4.4) doesn't have those sound available from te synths top left select menu. Why? How can I do that? Ho to add a sample to have a 1 sound-dedicated instrument track as I can see in tuts out there?
  7. To control hi hat articulation with a midi controller expression wheel/joystick/whatever, open the drum kit designer, clieck the bottom-left arrow, go to input mapping and select GM + modwheel controls hihat. Done. (Currently using Logic 10.4.4) To sum up all the ways: - While playing (midi controller): drum kit designer > input mapping > GM + modwheel controls hihat - After playing/writing: a. Events panel > view > articulation ID > change values in table b. Piano Roll > right click on the event/note > articulation > select
  8. @SergeMeister I think that a controller shouldn't need all that work to be working. My new Akai (as well as the majority of controllers out there I think), it's just plug and play. I'll never go back.
  9. Hi, currently on Logic 10.4.8, using akai professional mpk mini. When I save a midi assignment to a knob, say a synth cut off, it works if the track is regural, alone. If I move the track in a track stack, or if the track was already in a stack, the assignment won't work even if it's saved. As soon as I move the track outside the stack, the knob starts working. Why?
  10. I have an M32 and logic 10.4, and have same problems. The worst thing were assignments. I wasn't able to assign params to the 8 knobs, thus totally useless. Very beatiful harware but quite shitty funcionalities in logic. I'm selling it. Bought an akai MKPmini, less expensive and very functional, plug and play, no software needed, worked instantly like a charm.
  11. Hi, I'm currently experiecing bad issues about sound concistencies between different devices. My drum machines sound veeery different if listened from my imac, or from my headphones, or from another pair of headphones. In some cases the differences is so big that they seem almost different samples... Why? And how to achieve decent consistency between the sounds listened direct from imac and sounds from headphones?
  12. Hi! I want to buy good headphones, to use unplugged. I guess bluetooth. Suggestions? Also, I'm currently experiecing bad issues about sound concistencies between different devices. 13. Hi! I'm looking for good non-drum/percussion sounds to use as... drums. I mean, percussive sounds that do not come from percussions. Like for example, a drop, something that breaks (don't know, a glass braking on the floor..), an hammer, things like that. I want to load them in drum machine designer. Could someone point me to the right sources please?
