Thank you again for the thoughtful response Fuzz.
We never record in Logic. Is there any way to modify the recording settings to eliminate any realtime data reference?
Will play around with the settings you mentioned above and report back.
I'm intrigued by your last point about Drag Mode and Shuffle Right. Not familiar with that style of editing.
I will play around with it myself to see if I can replicate when you referred to.
Would you mind shooting a short loom video so I can see exactly how you approach it?

For context, our editing style is to edit out all space between words to remove any breathes, lip sounds, etc. It's tedious, but when done well it sounds really polished. It sets our audio apart in the podcasting space and we charge a high premium for our services.
This results in 1000+ edits per hour of audio, and our error tolerance is <2%. The audio is listened to in full 3 times, twice by the editor once by the producer.
Things also get trickier when working with 2 or 3 speakers in terms of being able to edit fast enough to not have to pause playback regularly when working in front of the waveform in this way.
Also, given the recording, the waveform is not always a reliable guide to identify the subtle start/end of soft sounds, which makes it even more challenging,.
All that said, my team typically finishes the first pass of a 60m podcast in under 3 hours.
