  1. I’m running macOS Monterey 12.6.8 on a 2018 15 inch MacBook Pro. 2.6 ghz 6-core intel core i7
  2. If I update too Ventura and Logic 10.8.0 my issue should go away? At this point I turn off the sidechain or even remove the compressors entirely and playback is still lagged. Only when I turn on low latency mode does it sound normal now.
  3. Hm ok I see... So what was happening exactly? Why would transposing in the inspector, which turns on monophonic flex mode, then distort and hollow out the audio when flex pitch is enabled?
  4. Thank you all for you replies! I originally transposed the audio in the upper left hand region area where it says "transpose". Apparently, turning on flex pitch once transposing in this way was the cause of the error. I found this out by deleting the -3 semi change and instead putting Logic's pitch shifter on the track. Turning on flex pitch didn't mess with the audio anymore. Was super confused, but will keep your other suggestions for future reference as well, so thank you! And yeah... I wish this was an original session with Dua Lipa xD one day
  5. 10.5.1 Here's the bounced audio difference. First is without flex second is with flex turned on. Just sounds more hollow and high pitched instantly.
  6. Macbook Pro (retina, 15", mid 2014), Processor: 2.2 GHz intel core i7 Memory: 16gb 1600 MHz DDR3 MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. Logic 10.5.1. When you say reboot you mean restart the computer? And exit any aplpications that may open on start up? Will try this.
  7. Is there a way to choose green or blue? It seems each time I freeze a MIDI track it freezes green and audio tracks freeze blue.
  8. Hi all, I'm coming across a problem with flex pitch where as soon as I switch to flex pitch the entire vocal sounds more hollow and different instantly even before I adjust the notes to the pitches I want. Why is this happening? I'm following along with an online course in production and when he switches to flex pitch and moves the notes up or down the original sound is still intact, and yet as soon as I turn on flex, the vocal sounds weak, robotic and hollow. I've taken a screen recording for reference though its not as clear as I'd like. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Shoot apparently I can't attach mp3 or mp4 in the attachments? Here's a private soundcloud link of the issue: The first take is the normal/desired vocal, and then the second take is the flexed vocal. For context I transposed the track 3 semitones down to get it in key. The tutorial I was watching used something called soundshifter to pitch it and didn't use the transpose feature in the upper left corner of logic. Not sure if this plays a factor at all.
  9. Thanks for responding. My specs are: Macbook Pro (retina, 15", mid 2014), 2.2 GHz intel core i7 processor on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. (I've heard upgrading to Catalina has a whole host of issues I'm scared to download) Logic 10.5.1. I've exited those other apps and the problem still persists. What do you mean by freeze mode? There are different freeze options? I simply right clicked a track, enabled freeze option, and clicked the snowflake on each of the tracks. Thanks again Mike
  10. "Snap regions to absolute value" vs "snap regions to relative value"
  11. I had similar issues with dragging audio to exactly the bar or beat, or shortening the tail precisely. Check your snap mode and if you're in snap mode- relative, it will almost always not snap perfectly to the bar, but when I changed it to snap mode-absolute, it snapped perfectly to the grid. Let me know if this works for you as well
  12. I think I found a simple fix. Though I was on Smart snap it was on relative value. Once changes to absolute value, it clicks onto the grid I think every time. Thanks
  13. I've been running into this issue lately. I freeze tracks as i go to lower CPU usage, but don't bounce to audio and delete MIDI in case I want to change the synth. I have frozen about 90% of all my Midi tracks (many with 3rd party plugins effects) and still run into playback errors. Any ideas as to why this is happeneing? I still have several audio tracks unfrozen but with minimal processing. Shouldn't freezing the tracks make it so the CPU use is way down? I'll attach a photo. My I/O buffer size is 1024. Thanks for reading! Mike
  14. That's exactly what happened. Thank you for your response!! Though still pretty annoying that it can't understand it's for the same plugin, but I guess that's just how it understands inputted information. Thank you sir.
  15. BUMP? Why are my projects taking 5 minutes to "create overview" every time i open them? Has this been solved??
