Hello,
I am using a 2017 Macbook Air, MacOS Catalina version 10.15.2. I know this isn't the best computer on the market, but I've been using it for nearly 2 years with no problems that couldn't be fixed relatively quickly. Today however, I am completely unable to record in Logic Pro X without annoying, loud as hell clicks and pops that interrupt me in the middle of whatever I try to sing.
Fixes I've tried so far that did not work:
- Restarting my computer
- Restarting Logic
- Trying a new interface
- Every buffer length option
- Ensuring my sample rate was the same for my interface and in logic (it's set to 44.1 khz right now)
- Ensuring my CPU isn't overloading (even while recording it appears to be only around 10%)
- Changing multithreading options from "playback & live tracks" to just "playback tracks"
I am currently on vacation and staying at my friend's place, everything was working fine when I was at home (for the most part). I am unable to test a different mic cable because he only has one here, but I feel like that's not the problem because my friend also has recorded recently without issue. Besides that, I have no clue what the problem could possibly be and I can't record until it's fixed. I've seen other people say that putting Logic in low resolution mode fixed their issue but my computer is too old so that isn't an option for me. I need help badly, please let me know if there's a fix for this.
