  1. I was working on a song today and during the mixing process, I kept getting the "system overload" message so I consolidated my project by bouncing out any tracks with regions on separate tracks that could be combined, then hitting "Save As" to save the new consolidated project under a different name so it would be separate from the original project with all the recording data. I hit the "duplicate track" button on the tracks I had made edits to so all of my plugin data should have remained the same, but when I began to mix the new consolidated project it sounded completely different so I clicked on my plugins and realized that the settings on every plugin had been reset to default, meaning I just lost hours of work for seemingly no reason. To make matters worse, I didn't bother to save the mixing edits I made on the original project because I figured I'd only really need it in case I needed to get/fix any of the original recording data, so I can't even go back to it and save the plugin data I had worked on then transfer it over. Why did this happen? I am beyond frustrated right now, I've saved projects with a different name so it makes a new project countless times and I've never had this happen. Is it just a glitch? Did I inadvertently press something? Don't see why it would matter but I'm using all Waves + Logic stock plugins because I know someone will ask
  2. I usually do but I guess I just didn't this time. Fml
  3. Hey guys, I had what was almost a completed song, and while working on the backing vocals I accidentally dragged them into the wrong track and messed up the mix on where I had a different style of vocal. Realizing my mistake, I figured I would just exit the project and hit "Don't Save" so it would return me to where I thought Logic autosaved, but apparently I hadn't hit save and there was no autosave because the only versions of my project available now are only half finished or from when I just started. I essentially lost a full day of work, and I would really like to get it back. Is there anything I can do? I can't seem to find anything online that works, the version I need is not in the revert backup section.
  4. I am unable to convert a YouTube video into any type of audio format and drag it into Logic. I've tried multiple different videos, multiple different ways to import, and multiple different audio formats and it just does nothing. I've restarted Logic and restarted my computer. It's definitely something to do with the fact that the file is from YouTube because I can drag in files that aren't from YT with no problem, and when I tried to drag the files into FL Studio, it caused FL to crash. I can't record on the beat I want until this is resolved. Does anyone know how to fix this? Has this happened to everyone else? I'm incredibly frustrated right now because this is how I've been recording music for the last three years and it was working completely fine not even a week ago.
  5. Hello, I am using a 2017 Macbook Air, MacOS Catalina version 10.15.2. I know this isn't the best computer on the market, but I've been using it for nearly 2 years with no problems that couldn't be fixed relatively quickly. Today however, I am completely unable to record in Logic Pro X without annoying, loud as hell clicks and pops that interrupt me in the middle of whatever I try to sing. Fixes I've tried so far that did not work: - Restarting my computer - Restarting Logic - Trying a new interface - Every buffer length option - Ensuring my sample rate was the same for my interface and in logic (it's set to 44.1 khz right now) - Ensuring my CPU isn't overloading (even while recording it appears to be only around 10%) - Changing multithreading options from "playback & live tracks" to just "playback tracks" I am currently on vacation and staying at my friend's place, everything was working fine when I was at home (for the most part). I am unable to test a different mic cable because he only has one here, but I feel like that's not the problem because my friend also has recorded recently without issue. Besides that, I have no clue what the problem could possibly be and I can't record until it's fixed. I've seen other people say that putting Logic in low resolution mode fixed their issue but my computer is too old so that isn't an option for me. I need help badly, please let me know if there's a fix for this.
