To my knowledge I am not. Like I described in my initial post I found them whilst trying to rustle up some free space. My entire question is asking why this is happening.

I’m talking about individual .caf files for these instruments. I always save as a folder. I love using these instruments but if that’s the size of the files I have to deal with each time that’s just crazy. I just wanted to know if I’m doing something wrong to generate such big file sizes!

Hey guys, I'm having serious problems with how massive the file sizes are for Studio Horns and Studio Strings tracks. I was trying to work out where all of my iMac storage was being sucked up - and I hit the Mac sign top left then storage and low and behold, each of these Studio Horns and Studio Strings tracks were almost half a GB in size. Is this normal? I mean, in some of these projects I have 3 parts on one track. Hardly anything I would think, but the file size is almost 500mb. Am I missing something? Sorry if I am, but that seems colossal! Any help would be most appreciated. Cheers, Simon

Hi guys, So I've imported a bunch of audio files from my external WD hard drive into a session and when I go to save my new logic project with these files present, it will not save any files and says "You can't save the file 'x' because the volume 'Western Digital 3" (which is my external hard drive) is out of space. The WD has 173GB available. Yet strangely, all the audio is there in my LPX project and is available every time I exit LPX and restart. It doesn't say anything is missing, I just can't save my project without this crap turning up. Why is it trying to save these files back onto the WD when it should be just copying the files directly onto my Mac HD? Why is it saying there is insufficient space on my WD 3TB when there's 175GB there? Is it just a bug? My iMac HD has 27gb available. Any help would be most appreciated. Simon

I have the same problem. Only started a few weeks ago. I can't even re-enter a new shortcut for undo, the whole thing is greyed out. I can't delete it, can't change it. This is really really annoying!!
