  1. Hello, I’m trying to see if it’s possible to import a pdf into Logic Pro, but I don’t want Logic Pro to play it back, I’m just looking to avoid using score editor and editing my music file from Sibelius and import the PDF file so I can follow along with the music when I edit it. Is this possible? Thanks.
  2. Oh I see, thanks. I set it to 128, and now the MIDI volume works! Just curious, on the same picture, if I wanted to change the last 4 notes with MIDI velocity and not volume, what do I set the MIDI volume to? 128?
  3. Yes the first note has a velocity of 37, and the rest have a velocity of 127. I'm trying to get the first note to crescendo to the second note. I drew it in, but there's no crescendo.
  4. Hello, I am curious if it is possible to add a crescendo with MIDI volume to one single note? Attached is the picture that I am having trouble with. I am trying to add a crescendo to the first note.
  5. they are, I see the options in the articulation edit screen. I'm waiting on the USB Key for the Vienna Symphonic Library I purchased to come in the mail.
  6. I have a third party software coming in the mail, but right now I am using the violas that came with Logic. I just don't know how to have some sounds play pizzicato.
  7. Hello, I am curious how to change to pizzicato with the violas instrument in Logic? I was trying to read around and it was saying to edit it in the Articulation ID, but I am lost from there. Thanks.
  8. Yes I have gone through the book and it's amazing! Looks like I need to review these concepts, but I am having trouble finding these concepts in the book. I was curious if you could tell me what pages they are covered? quote="David Nahmani"] Indeed I do explain these basic concepts in my book!
  9. Hello, I had a question about the direction mixer plug-in in Logic Pro, in terms of using it with a stereo track. I get confused on the "spread" and the "direction" sections of the plug in. I was curious if someone could explain the difference between these two sections? Thank you!
  10. awesome thanks everyone for the help, this helps tremendously!
  11. what is the difference between expression, volume, and modulation in Logic? Also, in the picture attached, I have a picture of the piano roll open with the expression open. What are the green lines underneath the expression lines? Thanks for the help.

  13. Hello, I am struggling understanding basic concepts- panning, in relation to the following terms: mono and stereo tracks, and channels, in relation to stereo and mono tracks. I was curious if someone could point me in the right direction of where I could learn these basic concepts? It seems the material I have been using to learn mixing, mastering, and production have not really explained these terms at a basic level. Thanks for the help.

  15. Wouldn't have been necessary if you followed my three steps, but if you got there, all is well. Hey thanks for the tip, at first I wasn't sure where the tempo list was, but I found it, thank you!
