  1. Hi! I'm using Vocalign Project 5 (ARA) to line up a bunch of harmonies. I've done that with no problem but now I want to commit these changes Vocalign made to audio. So, I highlight all the tracks and there used to be a "replace tracks" option when the BIP window comes up. But now I only see "New Track" and "Selected Track." Where's the option to just replace all the tracks with the Vocalign edits? Ty!
  2. Yeah, I mean that would be ideal and I may do that. Even though I hate going to stores. I'm not looking for the most piano-like keyboard. I'm just looking for an upgrade for a controller that has weighted (semi) keys so that when I have clients come in to play their parts they feel a little more comfortable. My Alesis is the cheapo version and although it's served me well; I'm not a player. I have drum pad controller now so I don't use the Alesis to create drums and percussion. Thanks Okay, so that's helpful info. I'll consider the Studiologic. Again, I'm not looking for something 100% piano-like but closer would be nice. Ty!
  3. HI! I'm a producer and my primary instrument is guitar. I produce Pop, RnB and Indie pop stuff. I also do string arrangements sometimes. I have the Alesis V61 but I have clients that come in from time to time and I'd like to upgrade to a keyboard controller that feels more like a piano. I'm looking at the Kontrol S61 (Kind of expensive), Arturia KeyLab 61 mkii and the Studiologic SL88. Is there something else I should be looking at? Ty!
  4. Hi All, So, I used to be able to highlight all midi notes in the piano roll and then pull them all up to 127 by just a clicking and pulling up. After updating to 10.7.9 it won't allow that. What did this function change too?
  5. Ahh, okay. That's making more sense to me. The pre-delay is effecting the tails not the early reflections. For some reason I got it in my head that that the pre-day effected the early reflections and the tails.
  6. Okay, so (if I'm understanding this correctly) the pre-delay on a reverb is holding off the delay until whatever time you set it too; then it releases it. So, it's more like intermittent wipers on a car...lol. The other method of using a compressor on an aux (sidechained to lead vocal) will provide a ducking effect but still let some reverb through.
  7. Hi! So, I've used both of these methods to delay a reverb from effecting a lead vocal. It's not a new concept at all. But I always wondered what the difference is between using a comp and using a pre-delay knob on the reverb itself. They both delay the reverb from hitting the vocal but is there an actual sonic difference? I feel like when I use the compressor method I can dial in the effect for a more natural sound; whereas the pre-delay is just waiting to release to whatever delay time you chose. Any thoughts?
  8. SOLVED!!!! Sometimes I'm just dense. I changed to Monophonic and the phasey/distortion thing went away.
  9. Hi, So, I have a waveform that needs to be moved to the right a bit. See pic. The mound to the right so that it lines up with bar 72/3. When I put a flex marker just after the mound or even just after the 73/3 and pull right it causes a slight distortion when played back. I'm not sure what's causing this. I've tried Universal and Complex for the algorithm but it does the same thing. Any ideas how to stop this distortion? Thanks!
  10. Hi! Yep, unchecking the vol/pan box did the trick. Ty~
  11. Hi, I'm not sure if I inadvertently changed a setting or not but I used to be able to put a gain plugin on a stereo midi track, change the instance of the plugin to mono and then when I would bounce it would give me a mono audio track. It's just not working anymore. As a work around I just click the 2 circles and make it one and that changes the channel to mono but the wave form on it stays stereo. It bugs me and wasn't sure if there's another way. I want some mono audio tracks for kick, snares, bass, etc....
  12. Thanks for all the replies! The piano came from the Air Mini Grand. It wasn't tracked live. Sorry for the poor description on my part. This is a pop song and the piano is just playing chords nothing very complicated. I do like the idea of maybe choosing certain notes and changing the octave.
  13. Have you tried adding some chorus? I haven't. This piano came from the Air Mini Grand and I bounced it to audio. I like the tone of it but I'd like it to have more depth and presence.
