  1. Thanks for replying des99. That’s a bummer. I just turned Rosetta back on and the plugins open quicker and in 1 step. I’m still waiting to see what this M1 magic is all about. 🤣
  2. Hi all! I finally turned off Rosetta since all my 3rd party plugins are native. I noticed that they are actually slower to open now. First it’s a little box then the plug-in opens to the full size. I was expecting them to snap open faster. My Waves plugins seem to be opening quick but not Softube, UA, Soundstoys or Fab Filter. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any insight is greatly appreciated! 2021 14” MacBook Pro Logic 10.7.5 Monterey 12.6
  3. I figured I may have to do that but thought there was maybe an easier way. Thanks Rdungeon.
  4. Hello! I'm using the Logic Pro producer drum kit that creates a track stack with all the individual drums. On my bass guitar track I put a dynamic eq and wanted to experiment with the sidechain function to have the bass duck when the kick hits. When I try and select the kick for the sidechain input I only see the track stack and can't just select the individual kick. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Any info is greatly appreciated!
  5. Yup it happened with everything and I made sure everything was up to date. I sent back the element and got my duet to magically work again! So all is well now. Thanks!
  6. Hey guys, I was never able to fix my audio dropouts with my Duet so got a a new Apogee Element 24 to go with my new MBP. Any kind of sound I play has static and crackling when played through Element. I tried it on my 2012 MBP and it worked fine. So I got ANOTHER 2020 MBP and same thing!! I’ve spent hours with apogee and Apple and tried everything. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks
  7. Thanks for that info Rodney! After doing more troubleshooting I really think it’s the Apogee Duet that I’ve been using for over 6 years. I cannot get it to drop audio unless I’m running through the Duet. I’m glad it’s not my new Mac!
  8. Here is a screenshot of my settings.
  9. No i didn’t even think of trying garageband, I’ll give that a whirl. Thanks!
  10. Setting it to “playback tracks” did not solve the drop outs like I thought it did. So it’s either the Logic Update or my 7 day old MacBook Pro.
  11. Setting the multi threading option to “playback tracks” seems to be helping the playback for now. Thanks
  12. It’s doing it occasionally on multiple songs but the one that is making logic hit over 110% in the activity monitor is more frequent. Will tweak settings and see if there is any change. Thanks
  13. I’ll take a look and see if it’s optimized for playback, that’s the one thing I haven’t looked at. Thanks
  14. Apogee doesn’t think it’s an issue with them since bounces and Spotify play without issues. I talked to Apple for a couple hours and they couldn’t figure it out either. We did find out that my CPU % is hitting over 110 for a 1 minute song that is mainly using 4 alchemy tracks, 1 sampler track and some vocals and loops. They thought that could be causing the drops. My Mac is not even 1 week old and should be able to handle that. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks guys.
  15. I just played the song 10 times without the apogee duet and it was fine. I plugged in the apogee and it happened within a couple plays. Gonna reach out to them now.
