  1. Thanks Maddcow who makes ‘Live’?Googling it isn’t narrowing it down.
  2. Okay understood and thanks. ih well, here we go!
  3. A little update. I've managed (still showing the errors) to import the text styles, but it won't import score sets (shows them as blank with wingdings as titles) and you can't delete them. I understand the 'can't delete' issue has been going on for some time - and I thought they'd sorted it out with updates - oh well. Thanks for the suggestion rAC, it was worth a try. So I copied the project with the score sets (I have many I created previously)to a different drive, same result. Bewilderingly you have to click 'cancel and 'abort' (above) about 10 times each before you can return to the project.
  4. Hi really basic one. I'm a Logic Pro X user. I'm needing to create tracks for playback with a live band. There will be a click just sent to the drummer's mix (in-ears) there is the rest of the band playing live but I want playback for extras in synch (two to three tracks). Whenever I read up on MainStage the emphasis is on midi control of virtual instruments and patch changes, but I want to easily prepare synched WAV files, and be able to easily switch from song to song live. Right now at rehearsals we're using Logic Pro X with all the long waits for a song to load up and the vagiaries of using a laptop touchpad to control starts. Can MainStage be an audio file based platform to be linked up to an external controller (not even a keyboard - maybe a Korg Nano Kontrol) so we can quickly move from song to song and go?
  5. (I thought I'd replied to this..) Thanks rAc yes have tried that suggestion last week - afraid not, no change.
  6. Thanks for your reply. Yes I was rather afraid of that..
  7. Well this is coming up again - same problem, I now have a new laptop and using different OS and version of Logic (the old iMac would let me update as it was 7 years old and obsolete according to Apple ha-ha). I now have a completely new computer (an M2). I've tried opening different projects with score sets - same result. Any ideas my firends I don't even understand the error message - I'm not trying to create a region or a 'object' - what's wrong any ideas?
  8. All, both replies helpful thanks so much. I need to ensure syncopation is set to 'default' then it displays correcty (I assume this also means 'off' (unchecked). I think I must have needed syncopation on elswhere. I note that you can force or defeat on a note by note or bar by bar basis so best settings are what works mostly, then correct individual anomomlies as you find them. This is a very important win for me so thanks very much!
  9. Thanks for replies I will check the ideas this evening much appreciated!
  10. Does anyone know how to resolve this, I find it a lot in Logic Score and would love to solve it. This bar is an example, the time signature is 4/4› the dotted quarter note (dotted crotchet in UK) should be followed by the eigth note (quaver) tied to the half note (minim). Why is it not splitting the first bar into two equal halves? The eigth note and half note should be round the other way. Of course in the piano roll this is one midi note (running into the next bar), but on the score its illogical to read. I have tried editing interpretation, syncopation etc. the quantising is 16/24 which is correct.
  11. Thanks polonoid that’s good news. Okay next step new kit then…
  12. I've just come here searching for the solution having same problem. I can't upgrade to beyond 10.7.9 as my iMAC is 7 years old and must now be chucked in a skip! Anyone know if this was fixed in 10.8? (I'd need a new laptop to prove it). Thanks to all for reporting though, useful to know it ain't just me..
  13. Hi. Yes, doesn’t appear to be a problem.
