  1. i am really new to busses. i have a bus 1 made, and on the mixer i scroll to the right and the bus 1 has reverb on it. (reminder: i have no clue how busses work and i don't even know if this is how you use it) i have multiple tracks on it because i all want them to have the same reverb, and it seems to work fine when you listen to all of the tracks together. but when i solo one track that goes to bus 1, all the other tracks on the bus bleed together and you can hear all the other tracks even though one track is soloed. i'm probably doing something so wrong and if i am you all have my permission to laugh at me **also, i run logic 10.4.7 any tips are appreciated, thank you! (The highlighted one is my bus 1) here is a screenshot of the top half of my mixer here is a screenshot of the bottom half of my mixer
  2. This is the specific plugin i want: https://tal-software.com/products/tal-noisemaker (OSX download) I have a Macbook Air, Catalina version 10.15.3. I followed many tutorials on youtube- not specific to this piece of software, but just downloading plugins in general- and they all said to drag my download into the Components folder (under plugins, which is under audio, under library. You probably knew that lol). However, when i go to the plug in manager in logic, I can't find the software. i don't know if i'm just not looking hard enough, or not in the right spot. Or maybe i just downloaded the entire thing wrong. Who knows. And yes, i did restart my computer. no luck If anyone knows what i'm doing wrong, i would appreciate it if u helped me out!
  3. so basically i need a mic. i’ve been looking at USB ones so far, but i heard i could also get a cheap audio interface and a cheap xlr mic or whatever (and it would be worth it in the long run). i don’t really have a budget but anything under $100 is great. maybe $120 but that’s a stretch lol because my parents don’t support me but oh well. also idk what mics work with an audio interface because i’ve only been educating myself on USB mics lol oops. so if u could please tell me what an xlr mic is and whatnot that would be great ! thank u so much
  4. When I right click SMPTE Lock doesn't show up.
  5. hi for some reason I can't unlock this region I need to move it but it won't let me I'm probably just really dumb but if y'all could help I would appreciate it! Thanks.
  6. so there's no way to get rid of just the fade?
  7. but doing that gets rid of everything selected
  8. yesterday I added fades to a region but I don't want them there anymore. I looked up how to get rid of them but it didn't work, so now I'm here asking for your help! thank u!
  9. How do I change the volume at a certain spot of a MIDI region? I want it to get quieter at only one spot of the region and that's it. But I don't want it to fade. Thanks for your help
  10. ok, how do i turn it into an audio region?
  11. that has no monitor capability. seriously, for $20 over your budget, you can get a decent-enough mic, and you can monitor what you record. if it were me, i'd work that out. you do get what you pay for... haha youre right, ill probably just get the samson you linked.
  12. you can get usb microphones with a basic interface built-in, ie: https://smile.amazon.com/Samson-C01U-Studio-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B00HXE4BYW/ref=sr_1_44?crid=1KISFQJ2JT4UT&dchild=1&keywords=usb+microphone+for+music+recording&qid=1586724775&sprefix=usb+microphone+for+mu%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-44 sorry to be a burden but are any cheaper than that?
  13. hi all! so I have a sample (which is the pink one) i want the "first half" of the sample to start out normally (meaning like how it was originally sampled) but then make it loop throughout the song with the "second half" of the sample. in the screenshot, the playhead is where I want it to split (the first half from the second half), but I tried splitting it but it just starts back at the beginning which is what I DONT want; I want the beginning to be only one time and the other half of the song to be the same, just repeating and continuing. and I want it to blend and make it sound like one whole loop. so basically what I'm tryna say is that I want the "first half" to just be there once, then the "second half" to repeat and make it sound like it was there normally. I really hope this makes sense. it's a little bit confusing to explain haha. but this is kind of important to me since I want the second half of the sample/loop to be the base of my song and I've gotten so far and I don't want to scrap it. so thank you so much for your help if it doesn't make sense please just tell me because it's really simple I'm just dumb and don't know how to say it.
  14. oh you're right, i totally forgot about that. (that could mean the one im looking at is totally out the window, haha) i definitely want to record over a track, thats the whole reason i want a microphone. but why can't i just play the track through my computers speakers without headphones and still record? why do i need headphones? and if i don't want the track loud via my computer's speakers, why can't i just connect headphones into the computer's headphone jack and not the mic?
