Thank you for the response but that only saves the Drum Kit. Added fx or buses are not added when the custom drum kit patch is reloaded.

I understand how to save a preset and a channel strip setting, but how does one reuse a producer kit with customized child tracks (ex. new fxs, panning) as well as tweaks inside the drum designer? Can this be done with one saved setting/preset? In the attached screenshot of project B, I can see the saved channel setting from Project A but I had to import the tracks to get into Project B. And then I still had to fix the buses.

Strange but there are no control surfaces in the setup window (see attachment) nor do I have any connected. My only connected midi device my Behringer Deep Mind.

If I disable all controls surfaces the problem goes away! I'm not using any control surfaces currently but I may in the near future. Any advice?

Attached is an example project and a screenshot that shows the attempted program change - meaning the one I did manually on the keyboard - coming into my Mac. And then all of the following events are outbound program changes coming from the Mac. Thank you for your help as this one baffles me. Program Change Error Project.zip

Yes, it still happens in a brand new project with just one track with the external midi plugin. And using Midi Monitor I can see there is a program change being sent to the external keyboard.

I create a track and added the External Midi plugin. The external midi device properly receives any midi clips I create. However, if I manually change the program on the external midi synth it is immediately changed back to the previous program. I installed a Midi Logger and snooped on the outbound midi messages and Logic is sending a program change message to the external device. But I can't find where this program change is set in Logic; there are no program changes in the Event List for the track with the external midi plugin or for any other track. Any ideas?

How does one turn a midi effect on/off using a midi controller? I am able to toggle an audio effect using MIDI learn so I feel comfortable I know how to map things. But when i attempt to map a midi effect the command is received but no parameter is assigned.
