  1. I always wanted to record myself with piano and voice only. But I haven't taken the time to get this issue solved. As you can see in the screenshot on the very right side there is a thread at 100 % of its performance. The strange things is, Im not even playing at that moment! So, as soon as I start playing and recording vocals, there are non-stop clip sounds interrupting all along. What I dont understand is: a) why is this one thread active when I am not even playing? b) Why arent the other thread active at all? Specially when Im playing? Wouldnt that kind of distribute the load more uniformely...? And what do this threads even represent? b) how can there be an overload with one track only? c) is there a way to fix this? some extra info: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) Processor: 2,2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Thank You for any help, I really appreciate it!
  2. Okay, solved. I had to click on the "round knob" in Edit, then select Mix (in the screen control inspector) -> Saved Value: 0
  3. Hi there, Im costumizing a patch on Mainstage and want to make sure that every time I choose this patch the "Mix" value of Valhalla is on 0. However, every time I go down with the cursor and select it back the mix value jumps back again to 24. I even saved it as "Valhalla Value 0", but saving it doesnt solve the problem. Any idea why Mainstage wouldnt allow me to keep it on 0?
  4. You are correct, the problem is with the midi kebyboard. Do I find the MIDI monitor in Mainstage? What should I be observing on the MIDI datastream? I have an Arturia Keylab 61 essential. edit: I reached out to Arturia support and will post the solution once they reply.
  5. I feel realy dumb. The volume knob of the 505 was turned down all the way... So it is working now. How ever a new problem came up. I have hanging or stuck notes in Mainstage when using the midi keyboard. I dont know if it is related to the loopstation or a separate issue.
  6. Unfortunately its not working. I get no sound out of it. Dave, are we allowed to give financial incentives in return for some more personalized technical help? Cause it's been two weeks now, trying to figuer this out 😞 Here is what I tried so far: CamScanner 10.01.2024 22.48.pdf With headphones connected to the Loopstation/output (phones). But I get no sound out of it This is how the loopstations backside looks like: Thank you for any help!
  7. Hallo fr3Q, thanks for your answer. I will be using a midi keyboard, a guitar and a microphone together with my setting. To be honest I dont understand what the graphics are for in the AMS. I've been reading a lot of things that I dont understand. For exampe, people saying that an aggragate device should be created to link both the 505 with the interface. So I did this: Im using pc speakers, so I can only connect them to the headphone jack. A friend of mine did this sketch for me explaining how I should connect it. I tried it, but its not working. Im still getting no sound of it, even though Im using headphones in the output of the 505
  8. Im also wondering if I have to configure anything in the Audio Midi Setup?
  9. Okay, it looks like monitors win. Thank You 🙂
  10. Hallo, I have tried to connect the loopstation with my computer but I havent been successful so far. Here are the components: Loop station rc-505 Boss Macbook Pro 15 / Monterrey 12.7.1 Mainstage 3.6.4 Interface Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 Since I couldn't find the answers in the internet I asked chat Gpt, basically, this is what he said: **Connect the RC-505 to the audio interface:** - Outputs of Boss RC-505 to the inputs of the audio interface. **Connect the audio interface to the Macbook:** - Connect the audio interface to the computer using a USB **Open Main Stage:** - Go to Main Stage > Preferences > Audio, and make sure the audio interface is selected as the input and output device. With this set up I get no sound. I dont understand why the Output of the Boss should go into the input of the audio. Since I need the input of the interface for the instruments. So, I tried it the other way around. Then, in MainStage, I selected Boss RC-505 as the Audio Input and the Built-in Output as the Output, namley my speakers. But this didn't work either. Im so clueless here 😞
  11. Hi there, Im torn between two choices. Next to me is a store that sells speakers and I found these Vintage Avid Model 102 Stereo Speakers that sound just sooo good. But I remember producers telling me that I shouldn't use HiFi speakers to produce because they prioritze audio fidelity for home listening and may lack directional control... What is your take on that?
  12. Thank You! I dont know why, but the problem fixed itself. I didnt make any changes.
