  1. Yes, and any key command assigned to that function by the user may no longer work that way. I assigned the key command for 'Zoom horizonally" as control- option- right or left arrow. Now, those keys do something else.
  2. Just in case you hadn't noticed, version 10.15.5 brought changes in your key commands. Any functions listed there that have little asterisks next to them are no longer necessarily the same as you may have assigned.
  3. 'well thanks to Triplets, too, then.
  4. Thanx tons, Fisherking. That's stuff I never would have guessed at.
  5. I took somebody's advice that I needed to compress a project in order to attach it to a logic Help topic, so I downloaded a Zipping app and tried to compress my project file. Now, when I try to boot up the project (the original), there's an error message saying Logic is unable to find the driver. How do I find it, not knowing where it disappeared to? How do I re-unite it with my Logic Pro? The zipping software I used to use was very simple and foolproof, but this one is very complicated and not at all intuitive, so I may have done something wrong. Dragging the file into the compressor is the obvious part, but extracting the compressed file is not so easy. (plus, the older one was free). Now, the entire project is silent.
  6. I don't know whether the Sampler instruments are capable of pizzicatto notes. You may have to invest in a different library. the Garratin library is fairly inexpensive and VERY extensive. Very authentic sounding, too, but only orchestral instruments. I would recommend the Garratin Personal Orchestra (GPO). You can download them all online, too. No need to fool with the mail.
  7. What library are you using? If one like EastWest, the articulations come segregated by articulation type, eg, legatos on one track and pizzes on another. If a library like Garratin, the articulations are switchable using key switches (adding a specific Midi note below the audible range to switch from one articulation to another). Logic includes articulation switcher types for both kinds. (It's very satisfying when you get those articulation swithchers set up right).
  8. I only bothered to worry about once a long time ago, so I may have imagined (or misremembered) how that worked. I have plenty of other, more annoying issues with what Logic has done to itself. Thanks.
  9. Thanks , Des.That's where I expected to find it, but even with the first SMPTE numbers set at 1 1 1, the beginning number shows at 1 2 001. And the second set of numbers is grayed out. Shouldn't I be able to find a negative number for some lead-in time?
  10. Where is this, and why is the beginning SMPTE at 1 2 001? Shouldn't I be able to build in some lead-in time?

    Tags?

Thanks, David. I found some old discussions about help tags online, including a comment by you that there was no way to prevent them. Thanks for telling where to find them in preferences.

    Tags?

What is Logic calling these little tags that appear next to the notes, and how do I prevent them from showing up?
  13. Why are you even reading my posts, Fisherking . . . against my express requests? Since you have nothing to contribute to the topic except for lame snark and phony insults. The forum is intended for insights and questions about Logic Pro X. Your gratuitous opinions about other things are not welcome. I thought we had that clearly understood. Do you not read? (This is me actually being rude.)
  14. That sounds plausible, but I wouldn't know how to do that if I tried. One thing I found was that the region-based volume levels had gone to zero for those silent regions, regardless of what the track volume was set at.
  15. I did that. Here's what I've discovered. The event list value varies only with the region volume automation curve. I think I may have it solved. I won't know until I fool around with it. (I'd still like to know what went wrong in the first place. Thanks for all the help, guys. I'lll let you know if I encounter any more surprises.
