  1. Should anyone else find their drum tracks are out of sync with the track this is the solution, Preferences/Audio/General/Plug-in-latency adjust to All.
  2. Many thanks for your kind suggestion to my problem. Fortunately the fix was a simple one as the plug-in-latency needed to be set to ALL! (Preferences/Audio/General/plug-in-latency) I don't know how it changed but at least it's okay now. Thanks again.
  3. I'm using logic 10.7.2 and for some strange reason all the drum tracks to my projects that were once perfectly in time have suddenly gone out of time! Even when I tried to re-record a hand clap it played back out of time. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this! Can anyone help me please? Many thanks,
  4. Problem resolved by going into preferences and clicking "Reset All Preferences Except Key Commands!" Chris
  5. I've just been trying to punch in the way it tells me in the Logic Pro X book which has always worked but now suddenly it mutes the track I'm trying to punch in on. I've checked some of my older recordings and it's doing the same on those as well. I set the automatic punch in then hit the red R button and it immediately mutes that particular track!!
  6. Hi There, Every time I attempt to punch in on a track either automatically or on the fly as soon as I hit the record button logic mutes the track I am trying to punching in on! This makes it impossible to perform the punch in! I've haven't experienced this problem before - does anyone know why this is happening and more importantly is there a fix for this. All help will be gratefully received. Many thanks. Chris
  7. Thanks again I'm very grateful for your help now I just need to try and produce a hit!
  8. Hi JakobP, Many thanks for your help fortunately I've resolved the issue with the suggestion from Alan to change the input from 1 to 2! Thanks again. Chris
  9. Hi Alan, Sorted! that was my problem I needed to switch the input to 2. It's working fine now. Thank you so much for your time in helping to resolve my issue. It's much appreciated. Thanks again. Chris
  10. Hi Alan, Many thanks for taking the time to answer my query unfortunately I had already done everything you mentioned but I still don't have any signal from the guitar! Thanks again though, Chris
  11. Hi there, Can anyone help please - I've connected my electric guitar to Logic Pro X 10.5.1 via my Fast Track usb interface. I've done this as an Audio track I've chosen Audio input - input 1 and Audio output - Output 1 + 2. Preferences are all set to Fast Track in and Fast Track out but no signal whatsoever! I can hear the guitar in my headphones direct from the Fast Track device but Logic fails to pick up any signal at all! If I go into Garageband using the same setup the guitar records without any problem whatsoever. I can't figure it out! Any tips or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Chris
  12. That's the default behavior, assuming you've got a new install, haven't changed your recording preferences and are following all the steps in the exercise, correct. Here are what your default recording preferences should be (under Logic Pro X > Preferences > Recording): recording-preferences.png Thank you very much
  13. It tells me in the Logic ProX 10.4 edition pages 91-94 that there should be a Take Folder displayed on the track after I've used auto punch. I've been auto-punching my vocals today and so far no Take Folder has ever been displayed? I set the parameters on auto-punch, it blacks out the section to be replaced , I re-record the section to be replaced but afterwards no Take Folder is displayed! I'm using OS Catalina 10.15.4. Any advice gratefully received as to why this is happening. Thanks in anticipation.
  14. Hi there, many thanks for your kind response to my question. I have now realised that I was able to resolve my problem by changing the input from( input 1 )to( input 2) in the inspector. Only 408 pages to go!
