  1. Does anyone have a generic script for this?
  2. This must be a repeat request, but wow, this feature is overdue. We need a plugin search pane.
  3. Ideally, this would be in both the mixer and the inspector and would be able to monitor 3rd party plugs. The feature would have an inverse motion to the channel level meter. The gain reduction meter for the built in comp is of no value were it is placed in the mixer strip.
  4. Thank you, I went thru that process and ended up with a validated plug, but it doesn't show up in plugin menu.
  5. Thank you for the reply, I'm not on an M1, no Rosetta MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018), 2.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7, OS 12.1. It's so odd, Grooove Agent SE loads, but not 5. I flushed the install and re-did it, still nothing.
  6. Hi Logic world, question, anyone have some tips for getting the Groove Agent 5 instrument loaded in Logic? I can use it in Nuendo and load it as an AUi in Reaper of it just fine. But when I boot Logic I get a "could not be opened" message in the plug-in manager. I'm in a 48K session, where Padshop and Retrologue both load with no problem. Any thoughts would be great.
  7. Anyone know if there is a key command that will apply a fade or a crossfade to the marquee selection. Basically, I want to swipe across the end of a region or across two abutted regions with the marquee tool then hit a key and have a fade applied. The online logic users guide seems to point to a solution, but I don't see the actual command in the Key preferences.
  8. Ok, let's see. I have an instance of Drummer running in Logic, I have replaced the "Drummer" with an instance of the External Instrument plugin. Logic is chasing Nuendo, I am using the Drummer AI to play a drum module in Nuendo. The External Instrument plug-in drops notes when Nuendo cycles back around on say a 4 bar loop. The first 3/4 of the first bar won't play. I see the midi events tick along in the Logic MIDI Event list if I convert the drummer track to MIDI. However, if I place a MIDI Monitor on the output of the channel in the MIDI Environment, the notes I am not hearing are not making it out of the channel and into the Monitor. It does this on just a normal External MIDI channel as well. If I change my methodology and instead reference the notes in the Dummer track from an actual External Midi track with an Alias pointing to the Drummer track, all the notes make it out of Logic and play in Nunedo perfectly. Does anyone know why the External Instrument plugin behaves this way? I'm using a very generic IAC midi bussing scheme, with one bus managing MTC from Nuendo to Logic and another note data from Logic into Nuendo. Thank you!
  9. This would be a great feature as you could then arrow up and down to tracks in your edit window and whatever track you were on, if you had the application in Quickpunch, you could Record Capture stuff you failed to record while in play. Currently, to get into that state, you need to select the track then toggle into Record Enable.
  10. Not surprisingly this is not a Logic issue, it is a PT one. Per Non-Lethal Apps. "The timecode sent by Pro Tools doesn't reflect the loop (meaning that it doesn't jump back when the loop jumps back in Pro Tools) but rather sends continuously increasing timecode addresses." The only place you can pick up non-continuous MTC is on the HUI bus which requires a virtual HUI device to reside on your machine.
  11. Hi, I am trying to sync Logic to Protools. I have it all going, transmitting MTC thru an IAC midi driver. Audio coming back into Protools thru a Loopback buss. Set up is in accordance with normal syncing practices in both Logic and Protools. I am generating MTC from Protools: when I push start, Logic starts and follows along correctly with the expected tiny lag time at startup. My problem is that if I set loop points in Protools from say, bar 5 to 9, and then push play, Logic will play from the MTC found at bar 5 but when Protools gets to bar 9 and cycles back around to play from bar 5, Logic just continues on, playing past bar 9 into 10, 11, 12, etc until I press stop. It is behaving almost like it is freewheeling. My goal is to have Logic follow Protools loop points. Ideas? Thanks!
