  1. Hey guys, What's the deal with using capture MIDI in cycle mode? I feel like it behaved differently when the feature first got added pre Logic X, but I can't find a useful way to use it when in cycle mode for experimenting / jamming a part. Here's what happens: Cycle a section of the song, jam along until you find a part you like, then Capture MIDI. All MIDI captured since playback started is captured, creating one huge mess, i.e. If you've cycled 16 times, you have the MIDI from all 16 cycles merged together. What we need to make this feature useful in cycle mode: When using Capture MIDI in Cycle Mode, only MIDI from the last cycle is captured. If you there's something you want to capture, capture it before the next cycle begins or don't play when the next cycle comes round. For this jamming workflow, I have started using Ableton Live (Pro Tools does it properly too). I've tried different combo's of Preferences / Overlapped Track Recordings but no luck. Does anyone know a way, or is this a bug that should be reported in the feedback section? Thanks
  2. Can you explain how you keep these folders in sync between machines over the internet, i.e. which folder to create a symlink of and where it should be located? Do you create a symlink to the /Application Support/Logic folder and put it on dropbox, or Desktop (with iCloud desktop and Documents syncing switched on)? Thanks!
  3. For anyone else with this issue of their MIDI controller not working: Go to Preferences / MIDI / Inputs and check the controller in question has input enabled.
  4. Thanks for the reply, I figured it out this morning - it was being caused by a third party editor plugin for the OB-6, which had a setting in it's MIDI tab for "Midi In Controller Port", which was set to receive from the Komplete Kontrol!
  5. If you want to preserve the volume automation and panning but get around this problem, there’s a handy app called Stereo Monoizer - you just drag all the files into it and press analyse and it will split the mono ones into mono, and match the volume
  6. Hi all, I’ve got a strange issue with MIDI CC being sent to my OB-6 when it’s not even selected or record enabled. I have the following setup and an empty project: Komplete Kontrol M32 (USB) DSI OB-6 (USB) Roland UM-One midi interface (USB)-> Kenton midi to CV I have note data playing back on the OB-6 track (OB-6 is set to USB control, not MIDI) I have the Roland UM-One selected, and when I play from the Komplete Kontrol keyboard and use pitch bend (other other midi CC such as cutoff), it sends the pitch bend data to the OB-6. I’ve tried bypassing control surfaces incase thar was causing some weirdness. I can’t see any reason why the default behaviour would be to send data to a track that Is not selected, but I haven’t changed anything. Komplete Kontrol is in Midi Control mode. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? I will try to swap out the Komplete Kontrol for something else tomorrow to see if the issue persists Thanks, Ry
