  1. OH thank goodness. I moved it to another drive and I'm able to save it there !!! I tried my disk utility repair permissions and I get ----unable to unmount volume for repair--- message Thankfully moving it to another drive did the trick. Thanks for replies. What could fix that drive? Disk warrior?
  2. Tried that app. But my file already says I can read and write. I'll run disk utilities. I usually run disk utilities every friday religiously. And back up my drives with carbon clone copy twice a week. I lost 2TB of stuff once and don't want to have that happen again.
  3. Thank you for reply. I will try that app right now and report back. FINGERS DOUBLE CROSSED
  4. Hi, I've been using Logic Pro since 7.... Anyways I added a UAD Apollo Twin to my home setup. Recorded a bands guitars today thru the Neve 88RS and Studer tape OOOMMMMGGG! It sounds so heavy. Anyways, I go to save the session and Logic Pro X keeps saying file doesn't exist. OH NO!!! This is a paying gig and the guys already tore down and left. I can SEE the audio files and drums tracks on my screen. I can open the session, over and over. but I can't save it. I can't bounce it or nothing. I'm afraid to close it again I might not get it back? In OSX 10.10.5 on a brand new Mac Pro with two graphics cards in it. Recorded audio to fairly new drives. I've recorded other projects to these drives in Logic Pro X with NO problem. This is my first with the UAD apollo twin. I went thru the UAD console to use the Neve pre amp plugin... then into Logic Pro X Any help very much Appreciated. I hope I'm not DOOMED
  5. I checked and rechecked all the software and drivers. Seen all was up to date. Then noticed my USB huh was quite old. The update from 10.6.8 to 10.9.2 rendered it useless. Everything hooked to it didn't work proper. Bought a new one and boom..... Everything works perfect
  6. Anyone else have a clue as to whats going on? We're frazzled and cant use our midi keyboards at all. Thanks
  7. Hello, yes tried all three of those several times. Checked to make sure I have the latest midi drivers too. I'm using a M Audio audio sport 2x2 anniversary with midiman and novation keyboard
  8. Hello, I tried searching (I may have not used the correct words) But heres my problem. I just bought Logic Pro X today. Coming from Logic Pro 9.1.8 Also, I recently installed Mavericks 10.9.2 on another internal disc. I have 10.6.8 on another. Well as soon as I try to use my midi controller 49 key midiman. I'll hit the keys, but it takes like 8-10 seconds for the notes to get into Logic Pro X. On everything I tried. Trillian, Kontakt, exs24. It's killing the creative moments right now I have 22gigs of ram and running 2 x 3ghz quadcores in this Mac. Is this a bug or something? I tried another midi keyboard with the same results. Any help much much appreciated Thanks
  9. Cool thanks! Now I just gotta find a Mac that will download mavericks... (oh the headaches begin!)
  10. This sounds awesome F.A.D. So if I do the X5365 quadcore upgrade and update the firmware to 2.1 can I just install mavericks on my MacPro1,1? I have a new ATI Radeon HD 5770 already in this mac. Thanks
  11. Good luck. I used to think I had to have Waves too! Now I use maybe three 3rd party plugins and the rest of the time. It's the Logic Pro plugins.
  12. I love programming drums in Logic Pro. One thing I never use is quantize! Gawd... unless you are doing house music. I've seen bad ass drummers on Roland electronic kits and their midi files aren't perfect! They sound awesome, but they are not perfect. Go out and buy some drummer D.V.D.'s like for example Flo Mounier. Watch how he plays ...(yes it's heavy music/ just pick your favorite drummer, he probably has a DVD out!) I did this in Logic Pro... SAMPLE About 8 busses and some plug-ins added! D.F.H.S. + C&V & C&V add-on! It's kick heavy due to my SSL plugs crashing Logic constantly..for some odd reason! GORILLA
  13. I got the session off the internet. They recorded in a studio, everything spearated. Drums... then guitars...then bass. I just couldn't believe how decent guitar amp pro sounded in a mix, because by itself it sounds way too thin for Metal music to us. GORILLA
