  1. Thanks both so much. That was driving me nuts,
  2. Hi all. Somehow Logic is now defaulting to play from the start of the start of whatever cycle range I have set. I'd like to be able to play from wherever I put the Playhead and press Play (or hit the Spacebar). I was working this way previously. I assume there must be a setting but I can change. I was expecting to see this in Prefs > General > Cycle - but no dice. Can anyone please point in in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
  3. Freesounds.org looks perfect, thanks. I’ll give that a go. I may give Splice a go if freesounds doesn’t work out. Cheers.

    Midi

I regularly have the same issue but I’ve assumed it was always my poor keyboard playing skills.
  5. Just as a follow up - I’ve managed to get a setup that I like. I have a single track where the output is MIDI to the TB-03 and the input comes back as Audio into the same track. I can add or record automation onto the same track. Then when I bounce a track, I have to do it in real time. If I want two tracks of TB-03, then I bounce one track to a separate audio track (also in real time). Now I I need another TB-03
  6. Hi all, Can anyone recommend a good free website where I can find a decent range of free samples? I’m thinking sound effects, maybe the odd vocal snippet, and so on. I searched the net and found a few but I’m unsure which is the best. I signed up with Splice, on the understanding that I’d get to access ‘some’ free samples but once I’d given them my details, it seems it’s all behind a paywall. Most disappointing. Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks for the reply. That’s really helpful and gives me plenty to go at. Cheers.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I too ended up buying the TB-03. I just need to figure that out now
  9. I bought a TB-03 today and haven’t quite figured out out to set it up with Logic. It’s my first hardware synth for 20 years or so... I’m not sure I’ve figured out the best setup and was hoping for some help. I have the driver installed. I have been able to record MIdi from patterns in the TB-03 into Logic but I haven’t quite figured out the settings of syncing - I just set the tempo the same and press play on the TB-03 manually, roughly in time with Logic. I can then play the Logic Region back into the TB-03 - with sync on the TB-03 set to USB. I can hear the audio, in real time through an extra Audio Track, where I’ve set the TB-03 as the input. But it doesn’t quite sound the same as the pattern directly on the TB-03. It’s a little glitchy. I’d like to be able to program sequences either on the TB-03 or in Logic, or at least record the MiDI into Logic and make edits in there. Then use Logic Plugins (such as a compressor) on the sound.. I’d like to be able to record, edit and playback the various synth parameters too. What is the best way to setup and use the TB+03 in Logic? Thanks in advance.
  10. I’m mulling over buying a TD-3 but I’m unclear on how well it can be controlled using Logic. I believe the the TD-3 doesn’t transmit MIDI CC when the various pots/dials are used. I’m not sure what can be done the other way.... My ideal would be that I could play or program patterns in Logic, maybe using the step sequencer or piano roll, and then add and edit CC variations that would drive the various parameters on the TD-3 - cutoff, envelope, accent etc. Is this possible? Does anyone use one of these and have a method of working dialled?
  11. Perfect! Really appreciated that. Cheers.
  12. Imagine that I have a track where I have everything mixed - including lots of volume automation across many of the tracks. Then imagine I’ve decided that my vocal is too prominent across the whole song, so I want to reduce the relative volume of the vocal track - while keeping the automation. The volume automation overrides the mixer fader, so I can’t just turn that down a little. I’m currently re-editing all of the automation points. Is there a way of turning the relative volume down across a whole track? (Bearing in mind some of the volume automation may be a mixture of track and region level).
  13. Thanks very much. I went for MediaHuman and it worked really well. Much appreciated.
  14. Hi all, what is the best way to pull audio from and online video? There seems to be many online converter websites but I’m wary about what is safe. I don’t want to download any viruses. Are there any safe recommendations?
