  1. thanks David - I'll give it a try
  2. Hi Team, Logic is behaving and (semi) stable but a new problem has appeared - when I quit, I can save a project but logic won't quit - I have to use Force Quit - any ideas?
  3. Hi Team, I added a Novation Peak as an external instrument - all works fine - I can record midi and playback. But what I can't do is control mute, solo, or volume from the mixer - am i missing something fundamental? Also in other news, I have the Peak on audio inputs 3+4 and the gain on my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 is at zero and I still have a very healthy signal - is that related? Thanks All!
  4. Thanks again for helping - In the attached screen shot I have expanded the automation lanes and see the changes I made with the physical controls on the Korg. How do i identify the subject of the control data? I mean how do I know what (#31 LSB) refers to? - is that a CC number and the acronym for the parameter that's being adjusted?
  5. thanks - I meant to direct you to the first screenshot - what do you think about that one?
  6. Thanks, Des, So when I've recorded automation with 'touch' enabled, why can't I see that reflected in the available lanes. You can see in my second picture that there is data there but only the volume and pan lanes appear. Will you help me understand why that is the case?
  7. Thanks for the reply, David. I guess I'm unclear about how to make the distinction between recording track automation or recording MIDI cc data - I guess I had conflated those two - here's a screen shot - one shows the notes plus data (the grey vertical lines, right?) and the other shows the available lanes - thanks for all you do for this community
  8. Hi Team! When I adjust the controls of my Minitaur, I record automation beautifully with each separate control being represented in its own lane (cutoff, resonance, etc). But when I use the same technique with my DeepMind12 or my Minilogue, the automation is recorded perfectly and is heard during playback but the names of the individual controls nor their lanes appear. Only the volume, pan lanes are available. Each of the synths are connected via usb and otherwise work as expected. Any thoughts? Love you guys
  9. Hi Team! in Audio MIDI setup, why are the MIDI in/out Connectors (channels?) all set to '1' and the option to adjust them is greyed out? I have 3 external synths connected on different MIDI channels (via USB) but for example my Moog Minitaur will respond to a program change that I perform on my DeepMind12 even though they're on different MIDI channels - thanks for reading!
  10. Hi Team, In the events list, all of the channel values are '1' even though the midi channel for the selected instrument is '2'. How are these two values connected? is the channel in the events list really the midi channel of the instrument?
  11. that's strange - what about this from our good friend Eli: https://youtu.be/ikRWIkWfrwo. @4:44
  12. this issue was resolved with the 10.5.1 update! nice!
  13. Hello All, I bought a Nocturn and installed Automap without a hitch. My issue is that Automap is only allowing control of the mixer - I can adjust challnel volume, sends, pan etc but when I select an instrument, like ES M, automap doesn't see it - any ideas? - am I missing something simple? Many thanks
  14. Hi All, when I drag patterns from my multiple output instance of Maschine into the live loops area, they play ok for one cycle then don't play until the first beat of the new cycle, then spike hard on beat 1 of the new cycle, then silent again. I've read a little about multiple output instruments causing headaches in 10.5 - is this an example? any thoughts greatly appreciated Mac Mini OS 10.14 Logic 10.5 Maschine 2.10 Korg Volca Bass Korg Volca Keys Minilogue XD
