  1. Good news. All's well that ends well. Happy recording!
  2. Yes, that's what I meant. I was thinking it might be easier to import a mix down into AT5 and record the wah guitar part there and then export the recorded guitar into Logic. I don't think it works either. No one on IK's forum was able to help with that. I think I contacted IK support about it, which I normally do when I need help, but I don't remember. Maybe I'll try again. It would be nice if there was an elegant way to do this.
  3. I'm curious if you are able to record the wah inside AT5. I couldn't figure it out.
  4. I don't have any old projects with wah guitar recorded this way, but I did save my test from this morning. When I open that test project and hit play, everything plays back as it was recorded. I can make changes to the amp settings, speakers and cabinets, rooms, etc. with no change to the recorded midi wah playback. I can bring in other pedals, change their settings, and their order in the chain ONLY in the AT5 window that shows the entire signal chain (on the bottom). However, if I replace the current wah with a different one, the recorded wah midi information no longer plays back and the new pedal doesn't move in the "gear view" window. Additionally, if I add any pedals in the "gear view" window, the recorded midi will no longer playback. It seems that changing the wah or changing anything in the "gear view" window cancels out the recorded midi. The midi information is still there and the wah pedal still "moves", but there's no audio of the wah information. Replacing the wah pedal with another cancels the audio and the new wah doesn't move; although, the midi information is still present on the track. My AXE I/O is version 1.2.1 2A21, and I've never updated the firmware. Maybe watch the video again? Maybe you missed something. If you'd like me to look at or test something else, please let me know. I love midi but know very little about how it works, which is why I love TheSuperFunAwesomeHappyTimePedalShow video.
  5. Sorry it took me so long to test this. Following the TheSuperFunAwesomeHappyTimePedalShow video step by step, everything works as expected here. I created a new project and started from scratch. Let me know if you'd like me to test something else. Maybe we can narrow it down. M2 MacBook Pro, Ventura 13.3.1 Logic Pro X 10.7.7 AmpliTube 5.5.6
  6. I have to leave for work, but I'll test this later and report back.
  7. Thanks. I used migration assistant when I upgraded and thought something went awry! Again, thanks so much for your help.
  8. Thanks, scg! The keyboard shortcut does work! Screen shots before and after autopunch enabled. After autopunch enabled.
  9. Searched for answers, but I didn't find a thread here or on the internet about this. As the subject suggests, whenever I enable autopunch, the record button disappears making autopunch impossible. It happens on old projects and new ones.
  10. Ventura. Regarding PA plugins, I've used blackbox saturator hg2 ms, shadow hills mastering compressor class A (red one) without any sound issues: a few times the plugins wouldn't load on startup or open when clicked correctly, but that hasn't happened in a few days. I also tried the bx mastering desk true peak, which sounded great, but my bounces/mixdowns waveform comes out compressed or something. Weird. I'll try another mix down later, but the other PA plugins I tried are working here.
  11. Just checking in with my first impressions of my new 14 inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro chip, 1 TB storage, and 32 gigs of memory. I had a hard time wrapping my head around such an expensive purchase and could have gone out and bought another guitar, but this is an awesome machine for my needs. I haven't had to freeze any tracks using the high CPU and memory taxing plugins from IK Multimedia, Waves, and Plugin Alliance. Working on a couple of mixes right now (20-25 tracks mostly audio, MODO DRUM, Hammond B-3, IK's tape machines, Waves Abbey Road stuff, and a bunch of other plugins), and the CPU is only at about 25-30%. the machine is an absolute beast. Thanks for the help, guys!
  12. I'm going to hold out for a few months and get the 14 with 32 GBs memory. I'd like to get a bunch of years out of it, and the extra memory should help with that. Never know what new plugins are around the corner. Hopefully my current MBP will get me to the finish line. I appreciate your help. Thank you, triplets.
  13. Interesting stuff, but I have no idea what any of it means. LOL. The M1s and M2s they have are head and shoulders above what I'm using, but I just don't know what any of that means in terms of what I need the machine to do. I don't see myself doing anything more than I do. 15-25 tracks, mostly audio with 3rd party plugins and a PCU hungry drum modeler. I'll have to do some more reading. Thanks, triplets. Appreciate the help.
  14. Thank you. Do you have any insight on the memory vs. cores? I can get 24GBs with the 13 and 16GBs with the 14. Trying to figure out if the extra cores on the 14 (10 CPU / 16 GPU) outweigh the 13 (8 CPU / 10 GPU. My budget gives me more memory on the 13, more cores on the 14.
