  1. Thanks Drew. That’s exactly what I do on most projects - have them stem it out. This seems like something LPX engineers oughta fix. I agree, Pro Tools is overrated. It’d be nice to have this working properly in Logic.
  2. Hello, I do sound design for TV & Film in Logic, and I've been having recurring issues importing AAF's into Logic. It will ask, "where is x file?" The files are embedded into the AAF, but Logic can't seem to recognize that. Has anyone found a fix for this? Thanks for your help!
  3. Yea, with the kinds of low-CPU plugins you're using (not to mention, no virtual instruments), you shouldn't be having drive IO issues, unless you're on an old system with non-SSD drives. Even then, it's a little surprising. If you have a fast USB3 or Thunderbolt external hard drive, maybe try moving some of your source files there so you can split the load. Beyond that, I'm not sure what might be causing it.
  4. Update: Apple support recommended updating from Mojave to 10.15.1. I've done this. Also re-installed LPX and my 3rd party plugins, ensuring everything is up-to-date. The problem persists. Apple support again saying they do not have an ETA for a fix.
  5. And are all of the source files stored locally on your computer?
  6. Are you downloading from UHE's website? It sounds like the bottleneck is the server you're downloading from. Not an issue with your internet. It's an issue with the bandwidth at UHE.
  7. Yea, a lot of us are in big trouble right now. I was in the middle of a two-month-long album production with a bunch of singers around the world, scheduled and booked. Lost a lot of money and momentum. It sucks really bad. Still holding out hope though.
  8. On my end, the update occurred automatically, otherwise I would have canceled it and backed up the app. Spectrasonics might cause an issue for some people sometimes, but I've been hearing from people having the same issue who do not have Spectrasonics products installed.
  9. Yea, this is disappointing. I liked Camel Crusher's GUI, and I use that plugin on every production, everywhere.
  10. Good to know. Apple Support has said it is a known issue, but they may not have a patch until AFTER WWDC.
  11. This seems like an insane amount of work for a major bug that Apple should be fixing. And if Apple's best current fix is to roll back to a previous version of LPX, they should make that previous version available to us, not expect us to obtain a new external hard drive to install an old version of Mac OS onto. I spoke with Apple today also. They said it might have something to do with Spectrasonics VST's (Omnisphere). I'm skeptical. But this is a huge problem.
  12. This has been happening for me also. I'm on a brand new, maxed-out iMac, and CPU is nowhere near spiking, nor is the HD. Don't think I've ever had this problem, and I've been a heavy Logic user for a decade. Causing issues on a deadline, constantly having to restart and hope it works. Can't identify any specific plugins causing the issue. Hope we get a patch soon. OSX 10.14.6
