  1. Also I think it's really odd that if you hold shift and vertical scroll it behaves as expected. What is it with the horizontal scroll wheel specifically and these Apple apps? Can also confirm the inertial horizontal scroll isn't with Pro Tools
  2. Experiencing same issue, very annoying now with the update. It behaves now like it has for a while In Final Cut, you do kind of get used to it but it's not a good thing at all. It's odd that vertical scroll has not changed, still no inertia. I hate it and wish there was a proper option to customise this.
  3. Dragging to slip edit is finally here in 10.8 🙂
  4. hmm no that sounds interesting, I'm curious how that differs to hitting Z? Will try now, thanks
  5. Since this thread is two years old now I'm wondering If there is any word of progress or some new workarounds? This feature would making speeding around Logic projects SO much faster. The issue with the marquee tool as a workaround for defining a place to zoom in, is it will deselect regions you currently have selected, and very often I need to select a lot of regions and then zoom into a not so obvious part of the arrangement. The only way to achieve that functionality would therefore be to zoom into where my cursor is.
  6. Okay I think I've figured out the problem, this is still quite frustrating so if there is another reason for this please let me know! The zoom level with flex pitch and therefore the ability to see notes clearly seems to be defined either by the maximum volume or the total pitch range (guessing latter?) within the audio file you're working with. So in my example above the lower track was a short audio file that was an overdubbed harmony, and the take above is a full take with more audio further forward and behind. In order to be able to zoom vertically to a comfortable degree I can't just snip out that part of the file, I actually have to bounce it in place and then apply flex time to the new region. This doesn't seem right to me. I would like to edit title to read "Flex Time Vertical Zoom Amount Issue" to make it easier for others to search for problem but not sure how to edit this!
  7. Hey everyone, Feel like I'm going crazy here, tried searching this but it's a hard thing to search exactly. I'm working with flex pitch and zoomed in vertically as much as possible to see what I'm working on - all good. I go to the track above to do the same, but in this track for some reason the maximum I can zoom in far more constricted, it's much harder to see what I'm doing. I'm wondering, am I missing something obvious here? Could it be bugging out? Screenshot here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e7mi3l59llltmmt/Screenshot%202020-07-12%20at%2019.53.13.png?dl=0 (please let me know if there's a better way to host an image). Thanks a lot for any help.
  8. Not true. The slip increment relies on the Nudge value, so if you want slip to move by larger increments all you need to do is adjust the Nudge value. You can set the Nudge value up to 1/1 note if you want, which is a pretty big increment. You can't drag the audio file, the feature only works with key commands. Thanks dude! Yes I've since found that out, it actually works pretty well in such large increments for scanning through the audio file. Would be neat to be able to drag, that would allow quite fine adjustments of the underlying audio file without then having to tune in different nudge values. Have submitted a request to Apple and encourage others to do the same!
  9. Hey everyone, First post here and sorry I'm reviving this thread due to my endless frustration with this kind of editing being absent.... (I remember reading this same thread yeears ago, I'm surprised it's not a more commonly requested feature). And finally! We have slip editing in Logic Pro X 10.5!... but do we? I was so disappointed to find it's a key command and seems to only be available to adjust in very small increments. Does anybody know if my disappointment is founded here? Is there some way to drag the underlying audio file within a region with the cursor directly in the arrangement view? Thanks for any help!
