UPDATE: So I went back to the apple website and went through all of the suggestions, Finally landing on re-installing Logic -- it seems to be working -- however I did this before and it worked for a bit -- so not really sure where this leaves me -- I guess I'll use till it stops working... Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I took out ALL of the plug-ins and it still crashes - so I think it is something more/different that that. I also need to update my info - I am on Ventura... thanks!

So -- here is the update. I tried to log in as a new user -- nothing - issued a crash report I tried taking all of the items out of the components folder, in preparation to add them back in -- nothing - crash report. I moved all of the components back in to see if that would allow me to open as a new user -- nothing - crash report. I tried again as the regular user to get in (after returning everything to the components folder) and I could open a new file! I tried to go back to the file I was working on when it suddenly quit -- and I got back in??~?~? Any thoughts?

Sorry I haven't responded -- I thought I fixed it, but it has started up again -- either I can't open a project, or if I finally can - it may just crash in the middle of it. Logic Crash Log - DJL.pdfI have attached a copy of the crash log -- thanks in advance!

Here is the situation. Logic was working great. Went in and updated NI app - and several instruments -- Komplete Kontrol was having an issue updating- have written NI. Went today to work in Logic - crashes and crashes and crashes. Went through all the apple suggestions. When I got to disconnecting external devices - had some luck -- I keep all my libraries on an external ssd drive. When I disconnect that - I can open Logic - it doesn't crash. Thought - Komplete Kontrol was causing issue - so removed it from the library - still having the issue. Where to go next? Thoughts? thanks

That is exactly what I am trying to do -- just take the external drive with all the samples on it - back and forth between two locations. So with your explanation, I need to know who to have the 2nd Logic location recognize the aliases.

My thinking was this -- I have all of my sample libraries on an external drive -- I have been using them - np at home. I took the external drive and plugged it into my work computer - same version of Logic - and none of the libraries were available. I am wondering why?

I could do that for existing projects - however I tried to open a new project - and wanted access to all of my libraries and I didn't have that - so that was where I focusing. I create a new document and the only non-Apple library I had access to was CSS (Since I had just updated it on my Sound Library drive)?

Hello -- I started a new gig and want to be able to work on my Logic projects at work. So... I put all of my samples on a portable drive, figuring I could plug it in, open the file and start working. However, it (Logic on the new computer) is not recognizing my samples -- As I write this I am wondering - my computer at home is Intel, my computer at work is M1. Is that the issue? If not, any suggestions, I have just probably missed something. I installed the CSS update while at work and that is the only AU library available to me. thanks djl

Well I searched a bunch of other forums and found a work around sorta -- If you go into FILE>>PRoject Settings>> Audio - and then click on the channel strips tab then uncheck both automatic boxes I seem to not have the issue. This is fine since I went in and changed it in my template and resaved the template. How do I make these boxes unchecked as a DEFAULT for a new project (not a template)?? Thanks djl
