  1. Yes, Mac Studio and Air M1, both same result.
  2. Thank you for checking David, For me still the same result. I opened your session and live midi is late.
  3. Here an empty session, no audio files or anything where I have the latency. It goes away when I disable the audio summing stack with Option+Off Button. If this is the way Logic handles it, at least I will know it is not a system problem. Latency Session.zip
  4. OK new update. Further looking to the project, the latency inducing plugin is on the track stack of vocal track. So I guess that is considered as an aux track. If I put the plugin on the actual audio track, there is no latency. Sorry for the confusion I was not in front of the project. But, I just checked the same setup with Cubase (All vocals routed to a group track which is an aux track in Cubase and plugin is inserted there does not cause any live midi playing latency issues like Logic. I also tried it on Ableton, no problem there either. So I guess Logic is different how it handles the latency? Yet I do not understand why it would create latency since my instrument track is going directly to the master track without any plugins or routings. Thank You.
  5. OK, I will. Thank You so much!
  6. Hi Dewdman42, Thank you for the reply. Yes that is what confuses me. When I remove the plugin from the vocal track midi response is normal again. I have nothing on the master track and do not have any aux tracks. I checked the Global and Project preferences but could not find anything that helps. Edit: I have latest Monterey, Logic 10.7.4 and Mac Studio running in Native mode. All 3rd party plugins are also Native Apple Silicon.
  7. Hello, I am not experiencing this in any other DAW so maybe I do something wrong in Logic. When there is a latency inducing plugin on an audio track(let's say vocal with ozone or similar latency causing plugins) I get latency when playing an instrument plugin with my keyboard. Now I understand that is normal if the plugins are on the instrument itself or master bus but why an unrelated audio tracks plugins affect the live midi input? I do not get this issue with Cubase for example. Thank You
  8. Got it. Thanks for the iPad tip
  9. Hi In Ableton (Also Bitwig) you can draw pitch bends per note in the piano roll without needing to record first with an MPE compatible instrument like Seaboard. Is it available in Logic? Couldnt find any information on the internet or a way to do it Thanks
  10. We are almost in 2021 Converting a preset one by one is so clumsy. DAWs should be intelligent enough to read a plugin's, or a Kontakt library's patch catalog and batch convert it to native format. They should start to innovate more on the AI side then adding another plugin. That is what computers are for. Make it compute
  11. Hello For example freeze up to a certain plugin like in Reaper: ...or being able to edit (trim cut copy paste) regions or copy them to another audio channel like in Ableton Live so you don't have to unfreeze/freeze all the time to make edit changes. Both gives more freedom with frozen tracks.
  12. Yes but can do it in Protools and Studio One so it is possible. A send is a cable yes but in the real world In a DAW everything is possible as it is just coding as we can do lots of other things that are not possible outside of computers and DAWs If we tried to match everything to the real world the music software as we know it today wouldn't be like this. I mean ''drag drop copying sends would help for a faster workflow but it is just a cable so we shouldn't do it'' does not make any sense If you can copy it by selecting 'paste sends only' then it can be hold drag and drop too. Instead of executing a bunch of commands you are doing the same thing with a one mouse movement. What is the difference?
  13. Guys, gals I love Logic especially 10.5 with the new sampler which I think with Q sampler is the best native sampler ever. Also I think Logic is highly modern. Just that workflow wise it feels a bit dated. The new great features like Live Loops Step Seq etc do not gel with the clumsy old way of doing things. Looking at Studio one they both add new features but also progress the workflow. I believe Apple can balance it too. For example in Studio One you can drag the header of the insert section of a channel and drop it on an another channel and all inserts get copied over. I heard that same feature is coming for sends too. I am talking about things like this. In Logic can you not even drag drop a send to another channel. I am not looking for esoteric features like Bitwig Grid or something but overall stuff that makes it easier to work and navigate with less clicks and menus. For example I love how I can have lots of tracks soloed in Logic but on top of that I can also solo a region without messing up with the tracks solo state which is genius. I want more things like this :I But since the new big features are out of the way which I believe took some serious time and programming power maybe next updates will have more workflow oriented features. And yes I understand what sells and what is boring for the youngsters
  14. I love Logic but certain things feel long over due. I wonder why the team ignore so many workflow enhancements like; Plugin Search Track Search Track visibility filters Clip gain envelopes Drag Drop plugins, drag copy sends Better freeze features Automation shapes and Automation transform features Seems like all innovative features or better workflow features come from the new players like Bitwig or Studio One But Apple played for the Live and FL YouTubers market with live loops and patterns without enhancing the core functionality of the DAW...
