No problem. Let me try to be as clear as possible.
I would like to teach my son chords. Using a DAW, I'd like to click "C" or whatever on the screen, and have it both 1) play a C or Cm chord, and 2) light up the appropriate lights on the Lumi keyboard. So, there is no "recorded" section here, but rather I'm trying to do this in realtime (using something like Captain Chords, or even Chord Trigger). So no one is ever actually playing a chord on a keyboard or screen, but rather, it's converting a note into a chord and playing that.
So, I have one track with a preset (let's say an alchemy plugin with a random preset), and it works great to use a Midi FX plugin with CC or CT, great. I click the "C" key on the screen and it plays a C chord on the virtual synth plugin. However, I'd like to make the keys on the Lumi also light up. So, I can make an external instrument track, and if there is midi on that track, it lights up fine. But this is live, so there's no midi region recorded. If I use a summing stack, there is no way to use a plugin or midi FX on the actual master track, so I can't send to two tracks live.
Hope this makes sense what i'm trying to do, and thanks again for the help.
