  1. Awesome! But won't this make it so we can't use the KK plugin from within Logic? If we turn of KK DAW, does that mean KK plugin can't send midi to logic? Thanks
  2. Literally never figured it out. Still happens. I just filter out the sysex but still insanely annoying. Also doesn’t happen on my S61. Let me know if you have more luck than me!
  3. I haven’t done anything with the settings of the controller. Do you have any helpful ideas on what that might be? Why would the KK be emitting these? Thanks
  4. Thanks David, understood. So I guess the question is why is the M32 sending these Mackie SysEx events now when it's controlling KK, when it never did before. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful to hear them. Thanks
  5. rAC: yes, but NI is not very prompt on answering these days, i've found this forum to be much more knowledgable and informative. David: indeed, the KK keyboards have 3 modes: midi (fine), daw control (also fine), and direct control of the Komplete Kontrol software (either standalone or as a plugin in a DAW). And yes, it's only sending these Mackie messages when it's in the mode meant to control KK (not seeing these in midi or logic control mode). But the question is why did it just start? i've been recording using KK plugins in logic for a while now, and have never seen these system messages pop up. Now, they pop up every second when i'm controlling KK within logic. I can filter out the system messages in the midi project settings, but I still see the X 1 0 0 constantly flashing in the LCD. Any thoughts on why it would just have started happening or what I can possibly do? Why is logic seeing these messages from the KK when it's meant for the KK software? Any reason you can think of on why it woudl just have started? Thanks
  6. Yes, but this doesn't list any resolution. Even if I filter out the System messages from the input filters, it still records it for automation and still flashes X 1 0 0 on the Midi in / midi out part. Is there a fix for that part? Thanks
  7. Hi all, I have been using Logic with my Komplete M32 for a few weeks now. Tonight, it just happened that when I monitor the midi in / midi out part of the LCD, it keeps flashing X 1 0 0 for both midi in and midi out. This ONLY happens when I have a komplete kontrol plugin loaded (doesn't happen with Alchemy or whatever loaded). Also, it has to be in plugin mode on the KK (controlling Logic in Track mode works just fine). Also, if i record anything on this track, i get Sysex Mackie Designs events in the Event list. I've been using this KK keyboard for a while with Logic on this mac, and have never seen this. It literally just started happening overnight. Anyone have any thoughts they could share? Thanks
  8. Yea, was definitely trying to avoid the environment, but TT seems like it might work. And yes, once I get the chords routed to the summing stack, everything works great (synth plays and lumi lights up). Its just the getting the chords routed to the master part. In AL this is easy, but of course it's a use case made for that DAW. Obviously not high on Apple's priority list, but was just trying to see if I was missing something obvious in Logic.
  9. It also comes in AU format, but not sure that helps as I still have to route to the Lumi for lights.
  10. Indeed it does. Same if i'm using Chord Trigger though of course.
  11. No problem. Let me try to be as clear as possible. I would like to teach my son chords. Using a DAW, I'd like to click "C" or whatever on the screen, and have it both 1) play a C or Cm chord, and 2) light up the appropriate lights on the Lumi keyboard. So, there is no "recorded" section here, but rather I'm trying to do this in realtime (using something like Captain Chords, or even Chord Trigger). So no one is ever actually playing a chord on a keyboard or screen, but rather, it's converting a note into a chord and playing that. So, I have one track with a preset (let's say an alchemy plugin with a random preset), and it works great to use a Midi FX plugin with CC or CT, great. I click the "C" key on the screen and it plays a C chord on the virtual synth plugin. However, I'd like to make the keys on the Lumi also light up. So, I can make an external instrument track, and if there is midi on that track, it lights up fine. But this is live, so there's no midi region recorded. If I use a summing stack, there is no way to use a plugin or midi FX on the actual master track, so I can't send to two tracks live. Hope this makes sense what i'm trying to do, and thanks again for the help.
  12. Thanks guys, let me try to take a video and be more specific. Apologies again, i'm new at this, and thanks for taking the time.
  13. Sounds good. I'm trying to make an education setup for my son. I have a Lumi Keys keyboard that can light up when keys are played. I want to teach him about chords. Basically, i just want to do exactly this, but with Logic not Abelton. Again, thanks for any advice, I know this is very basic for most of you. Brian
  14. Thanks for this. Summing stack gets partially there but since there is no way to use plugins on the main master track, no way to have it output to the external device "live". though it does work to paste a midi region on the master track, then it does play on both the synth track and the external. Any thoughts on how to do this with just live midi? basically, i want it to function like Abelton's "midi from" selection wehre I can just take the midi from the synth track and output it to the external device. Thanks
