Hey hello everyone,
In these last weeks of my vacation I've been producing songs just for fun, and I've started to mess around with beats/precussion. I'm not that experienced with it; neither behind the keyboard nor on stage, percussion is just not something that comes naturally to me, and I tend to write songs that do not really rely on it.
I find it super hard to actually get a proper beat going, or to know what sound I am actually looking for, when I am not working with drum kits or the drummer tracks. So, I've now, once or twice, turned to Apple Loops, as it's just a complete package, and I find it easier to hear what I like, and what I don't. The only problem is that most of the loops I come across are Audio loops, and they massively limit my freedom. I've already used one once, and cut it up to change around some stuff, but there's still limitations.
I was wondering if Apple's Audio loops are made with sounds I can find in Logic? And if so, how do I track these down, and could I use them as MIDI somehow? And otherwise; is there a way to sample specific sound I like from Apple loops?
Besides this, any tips surrounding making beats in Logic are more than welcome. Am a bit overwhelmed by it all, haha.
Love, KleinDing
