  1. Good call. I wish they had a way to download earlier versions... Hear, hear. I started saving backup copies prior versions of Logic because of this issue. Any track-based sidechaining I do throws track timing off entirely, even if it's just Logic's native compressors.
  2. Hi all, I'm fond of using the UA Ocean Way plugin for room reverb on my projects, but it's kind of a DSP hog. Is there a straightforward way to generate an impulse response for my favorite presets that I could use in Space Designer for those times when I'm maxing out the DSP usage? Thanks, Trent
  3. Updated yesterday, and no issues so far with a pretty wide range of 3rd party plugs including some that aren't officially cleared for Big Sur yet. Everything seems to be loading snappier.
  4. This is incredibly cool stuff. I would happily fire this up on a road trip, when we get to do things like that again.
  5. I bought Melodyne Essential on the same deal and have A/B'd it a couple of times with Flex Pitch. I liked it a bit better than Flex Pitch on one vocal track--basic pitch editing was a bit easier and had fewer artifacts. On the other track, I couldn't really hear much difference. Overall, I find the Melodyne user interface clearer and easier to read than the low-contrast mess that Flex Pitch uses.
  6. Sorted! I didn't realize pattern regions were different. Thanks.
  7. Greetings all! I am getting back into recording and composition after a long hiatus--my last real experience using Logic was with Logic 9. I'm working on a project in Logic 10.5.1 and would like to use the Step Editor to draw in a recurring drum pattern and edit velocities. However, the "Open Step Editor" command is grayed out in the Window menu. I've enabled all the advanced editing tools in Preferences > Advanced Tools. Is there anything else I need to do to enable it? I can do what I need to do in the Step Sequencer, but I'd prefer the Step Editor if I can get it online. Thanks!
