1. That's correct! To make any synth monophonic: in the environment, choose New > Voice Limiter. Set the Voices parameter to "1" and cable the Voice Limiter into the channel strip that has the ES P loaded. Now drag and drop the Voice Limiter onto the desired track header in the Arrange area, that new track will now play a monophonic ES P. just what i was needing

Zoom Tips?

just got baffled with this question myself after watching how nimbly Chris Reece switched between zoom in and out as David said above, in the Key Commands find zoom related commands, assign keys to 'Save As Zoom 1' , 'Save As Zoom 2', 'Recall Zoom 1' and 'Recall Zoom 2' options in Arrange create zoom out of the entire arrangement, save as zoom 1, then zoom in on a particular region till you like the level of magnification and save as zoom 2, then it's a matter of switching keys on the keyboard to toggle between the two having a particular region highlighted
3. yeah Scandor i'm on Logic 5 (PC) and you're right, what gets transmitted is fader and note messages, the plugin being fairly basic doesn't offer creation of virtual midi ports, so looks like my efforts to make it work are indeed hopeless thank you for all your suggestions
4. sure, here it is http://www.meesha.nl/vst/apollo.html
5. if we look at the problem under different angle i've been trying to force a Logic synth into receving midi from this step sequencer i takled about, through the Transformer, which is my first try with the Transformer ever 1. the monitors i put between the step seq and the transformer and from the transformer out both exhibit identical midi activity when controls are being manipulated on the step seq plugin 2. although when it's running the monitors are still 3. when i connect controls between the step seq plugin and the Logic synth through the Transformer, the 'slave' control reacts to manipulations on the 'master' control exactly according to the rule set in the Transformer 4. when i play a note on this plugin, through the Transformer the Logic synth receives all the right messages and voices this note so could the fact that there's no midi activity when the step seq is running mean that it simply doesn't transmit required midi messages?
6. thank you for the tip, although that plugin got no explicit midi output activation option, just a list of selectable midi channels but imma certainly give it a try, and if not will wait for sevaels to chime in and maybe unveil the mystery
7. yeah that's what i though it was supposed to be like, so Environment should give some options, i just can't comprehend how it should be set up in there, the routings and the modules i'm not using Audiorealism plugins but a freeware VST analog style step sequencer which works fine in Cubase, trying to make a VST synth, or any Logic synth to listen to it.
8. man, i'm as well buffled with this problem right now, if you come back to this thread please share the solution.
9. would be nice to have them too and expand the collection, holla when you find them
10. This is for Matty aka Da Boogie Smith requested through MySpace (couldn't reply u on MySpace cuz u neither accept non-friends messaging nor do you accept friend requests from bands ) not sure about the archive version u downloaded, cuz there's Logic 8 converted project file posted here. make sure the archive is one that i posted. There's an autoload.lso file which is a Logic 5 format project file, u just open it in Logic like any other project file, the templates should already be included in the Matrix view Quantize menu. If not, then u open another project file included in the archive with the templates in midi format. hope u get the message and it helps 8)
11. really have no idea how this all works on Mac in Logic 8, i compiled these on PC in Logic 5.3, but to my understanding u should just use the autoload file included in the archive, although i'm not sure it's compatible with Mac and/or Logic 8 i'm not aware of a method of transfering templates from one file into another, other than just using the midi sequences (also included) and extracting the templates from them in a new file. In Logic 5.3 the templates are stored within the project file itself since so far no one has reported any problems using these with newer versions of Logic i assume they work, maybe Logic 8 users could help
12. the "tedious" job of extracting the templates i did already there is an autoload.lso file in the archive with the templates appearing in the quantization list, hope u have already found that out if u need the midis, then just copy-paste them from the second .lso file into your own project Arrange window these only deal with quantization, no velocity fluctuations have been spotted
13. since i'm on Logic 5, could someone please post a screen shot of the plugins involved where their settings are seen, so i can try recreating this in Logic 5
