  1. OMG. That's a bit embarrassing. Page 10 of the manual. Thank you.
  2. I did try that, but I'm not sure how to route to the headphone outs on the interface. I can route to the other outputs on the interface (there are 12).
  3. Hi! I am using a Behringer UMC1820... an excellent interface for what I'm doing. It has two phones outputs, and I'm trying to set up Logic so that each phones output has its own mix. Anyone have the knowhows? Thank you! Brian in England
  4. Thank you both for your help. I deleted the UMC in MIDI/Audio but that didn't solve it. It turns out that it was a conflict of Output Port, as Jakob suggested. In Control Surfaces set up, ! changed the output on my Keylab from UMC1820 to 'all', and that seems to have solved it. Not I can send MIDI out of the interface. Thanks so much for your help. I would never have gotten that sorted on my own.
  5. Hi. I have a Behringer UMC1820 audio interface. A few days ago I finally managed to send MIDI to my synth from Logic and then audio from that synth back into an audio channel on Logic. Here's how I did it; Create software instrument, use external device, send to UMC1820, MIDI out of the UMC1820 into the Neutron. but... The next day, I open up Logic and there is no option on the external device dialog for the UMC1820 interface. In audio prefs, the device is UMC1820, and audio is coming out of my speakers from the UMC1820, but there is no option to send MIDI to it anymore. I'm flummoxed. Is it likely to be a Behringer problem? There is an option, on the external device, to send to my Arturia Keylab. I'm pretty sure though, that there is something which is disabling MIDI send to the UMC1820. Thanks for any help on this. I'm running Monterey 12.6 on an M1 MacBook Pro.
  6. Hi. I have my Arturia Essential 88 hooked up to my Macbook and I'm running Logic Pro X. Both up to date. When I open the MIDI Control Centre for the keyboard, there is no option for Logic in the DAW mode drop down menu. I can't figure out why. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Brian
  7. That would work. It seems software instruments can't be mono though. I'm using a software called Usine which has capability to patch outputs. It has a Surround Panner plugin which can handle up to 64 outputs. Insane. It's a different type of software, of course, with very different applications (pretty much geared exclusively toward live performance) but I know Logic well, and I was hoping it might be possible to achieve something similar with it. https://www.brainmodular.com/manuals/hh4/en/modules/audio/audio-pan-surround-panner
  8. I'm not using a standard set up. It is for an installation in which I have ten identical speakers in an outdoor environment. The speakers can be moved around by an audience. I get the impression that the formats catered for in Logic use specific systems of speakers, with the exception of the Quadraphonic Surround Format. If the surround sound format can work for me in Logic, then that would be great, but I'm not sure that's the case.
  9. Hi guys. I have a Behringer UMC1820 and I'm running Logic Pro 10.7.1. I'd like to be able to set up 10 mono outputs from Logic to have ten speakers in a room set up for immersive audio. The problem is that currently I'm only getting output options for paired stereo outputs on the interface. Any ideas on how to enable 10 mono outputs? Also.... is there a plug-in which can send audio to, for example, have a sound move in a circle across a ring of speakers? Hope you can help. Cheers, Brian.
  10. Wow. That's more like it. I'll check out the Behringer... 20 outputs?? €200?? That's insane. There must be a catch!
  11. Hmmm. Looks like I'm going aggregate! Thank you though! Maybe I'll be able to afford this once my project explodes.
  12. Does anyone have any suggestions for an affordable way to have at least 8 outputs from Logic? I'm working on a multi-source project and I'd like to set up multiple speakers in my studio. I could perhaps create an aggregate device, but I don't mind shelling out a little if it's going to be more reliable in the long run. I've looked at a few things, but I'm just not 100% sure they'll work with my MacBook Pro. I have two thunderbolt ports and two USB. Thanks for your help. B
  13. Thanks for letting me know! That's ace.
