  1. I just figured out how to fix it -- by using the LIST EDITOR link and searching for program changes, then removing the embedded instrument assignment events that I didn't want showing up in the exported midi file. Whew!
  2. As an amateur with Logic Pro X, Im not sure how to fix problem that just started happening. When I export a piano section as a midi file, the resulting midi file plays a different instrument, such as electronic echoes or saxaphone. There could be some midi event in my file that I can't find; but I don't know where to look. And I don't know how to assign a midi instrument to a section that will persist upon export to midi file. I hope this makes sense to someone who is willing to respond with some possible answers.
