Does anyone know why Logic adds the unnecesary quiet part after the auto-sampler has recorded the specified length? I've set it to record 2 seconds, yet it randomly decides how long to sample beyond this, sometimes 4 seconds, sometimes 10 seconds. I thought it could be waiting for silence, but as I'm sampling and analogue synth, its noisy. It also then breaks the odd note because its sampling for so long, the next one gets chopped to 0.1 seconds. Bug?

When I record audio, then delete the take, the next recording filename is incremented by 1 - even when I delete them from disk. This doesn't make sense when the final recordings are numbered very randomly. Is there a way to turn off the incremental filenaming? I can't see it. Or are you supposed to them rename them within logic using a batch rename to make sense?
