It seems it's a different issue then. My MIDI controller is always ON. However the issue only shows up when I launch the project with logic closed AND the controller ON. If the controller is OFF it always works fine.
I found out that the issue shows up when I open a Logic project file by double clicking right on the Mac finder when Logic is not already open AND my MIDI controller is ON. If I first launch Logic and then open the project the issue is gone. Weird as hell, but the workaround works 100% of the times
Yes, and I can also select those functions through regular menus. It's not that check boxes are not responding the clicks. They are literally greyed out as if they were unavailable
For some reason this keeps happening midway through a mix that the modes and functions are greyed out. It means I cannot select things like low latency monitoring mode as it is greyed out. When I launch a brand new it is fine until it is not and then there's no way to turn those options back on.
Found was the issue was.
I accidentally clicked S while pressing Cmd key. That "soloed" all tracks at once. Then I clicked Clear/Recall Solo. That recalled the solo tracks but left all tracks greyed out (muted). To undo this I had to click S while pressing Cmd key on any track twice.
Not sure what the purpose of Cmd + Click S is and why those steps are needed to rever back
I don't know what key combination I pressed but suddenly all my tracks were muted and I can't find any way to unmute them.
All tracks are ON, and neither M or Ctrl-M do anything to unmute (as you can see in the screenshot). This is the second time this happens. Last time I ended up reverting to a previous version but this time I have so many changes since that I don't want to lose.
Anyone knows how to undo this?
Thanks
Thanks, I found out it was the NX plugin who was introducing that difference between the mix and the master track
The moment I turn it off both levels match perfectly
I created a new project to master a track I mixed before. The mix out level has lot of room for mastering (peak is below -7).
When I import the wav file in the new project and apply compression and eq all levels remain the same. The project has only one track and no processing is applied to the stereo out (no aux or bus), yet it shows peak level higher than the track (with and without maximizer engaged). Any knows why this is happening?
Thanks
Juan
