  1. Thank you Jordi, yes, that was the reason! Thank you very much for your help.
  2. I'm trying a nice software called "Midnous"; it sends multiple impulses to a Daw via midi channels. In Logic Pro X, I have created four tracks, assigning each track a different instrument and setting each track "MIDI In Port" to Midnous Port and the channel number (1 to 4). The problem is that when I play on Midnous, I only hear the track selected in Logic not all the tracks. The channel assignments are respected, but I hear the pulses sent to channel 1 only if I select track 1 in Logic. None of the channels are muted, all are active. Usually, if they are not muted, the tracks are all played, not just the selected one. The signals on the various channels (in my case, 4) are all received by Logic. Only it plays one at a time (the one selected). Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong in Logic (I haven't been using it very long)? Thanks!
  3. Thanks David, I'll do as you suggest. - Marco.
  4. Yes, they are software instrument tracks, AU instruments (software synths).
  5. Hi all, I have a Logic project with three midi tracks. I was wondering if someone could direct me to a tutorial that explains to me what is the best way to proceed to finalize the audio before exporting: about the compression and equalization of the tracks (I dont' know if it is worth doing it track by track or exporting to wav, re-importing, and then proceeding only with two stereo tracks). - Marco.
  6. Thanks! I'll try your suggestions. - m.
  7. I connected my Peak synthesizer via USB to Logic Pro X. When I play a MIDI track from Logic I can hear the Peak playing. If I switch patches on the Peak, I hear the sound change. But every time I stop the Logic, the patch on Peak is reset (it is brought back to patch 001). I believe that Logic is the cause. Is there a way to avoid this behaviour and make sure that every time I stop the play, the patch remains set in the Peak? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I have a beginner question, sorry if it's trivial, but I need some help. I want to load MIDI files into Logic Pro X, play them using a synth (Novation Peak) connected to my Mac, and understand how to record or export the sound. The help I ask for is to know how best to connect the synth and the various steps in Logic to do so. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for your reply. I checked the standalone KK preferences again, in the "Libraries" and "Plug-ins" sections. I see that some locations are correctly set on the folder I created on the external hard disk while others point to my boot hard disk. Perhaps a first attempt will be to remove KK altogether and try reinstalling it...
  10. I'm quite a novice in this world so I ask you patience in case I'm asking stupid questions. I installed Komplete Kontrol (start), which I understand comes with free tools inside, and then bought "Olafur Arnalds Chamber Evo". When installing Native Access and Komplete Kontrol for the first time, I set the installation location on an external disk. Native Access tells me that all my products are installed and updated. From Komplete Kontrol (standalone application) I can access and play the instruments. If I select a tool with the right button and choose "Find in Finder" I see that the file resides in the correct folder on my external hard disk. My problem is that if I try to insert one of these instruments in a Logic Pro X track (AU Instruments / Native Instruments / Komplete Kontrol / stereo) the Komplete Kontrol window is displayed but I see it has the message "It looks like your library is currently empty. Please click the button below to scan for your Instruments and Samples. " But if I click the button, the situation does not change. However I see all the instruments on the right panel and if I try to select one if these from the library I hear that it sounds, but if I double-click it or try to drag it to the area on the right I get the message "Loading Issue. Plug-In not found. Please open the standalone application to rescan, or rescan manually in the Plug-in preferences." If instead I try to insert an instrument with Kontakt Player (AU Instruments / Native Instruments / Kontakt / stereo) I have no problem: I see and hear the instruments play but I can also insert them in my track. I don't understand where and if I'm wrong. Is it "right" to use Kontakt instead of Komplete Kontrol? However I guess Komplete shouldn't have these problems in Logic, I guess it should be able to insert the tools it displays ... Can anyone help me out? Note: The only thing I did after doing after installing Logic Pro X was to move the library to the external hard disk (relocate sound library) and everything seems to be working properly. As far as I can understand, Logic has created the "library" folder on the external hard disk with the two folders "Application Support" and "Receipts" inside. While the Native Instrument libraries are in a folder outside of this.
