  1. Hi, Its a problem with novation Automap. Uninstalling Automap cured it for me. Cheers Andy
  2. Hi Guys, Anyone else getting this? When I change preset in Delay Designer I get a spinning beach ball for around 60 seconds, GUI is dead but audio still plays ok. Cheers Andy
  3. Hi Guys, Where are the following stored in the filesystem? 10GB for Jam Pack collections 16GB for sound effects 6GB for surround music beds 6GB for other optional content Cheers Andy
  4. Absolutely. But with the current design of Logic it's just impossible to add, because the environment doesn't pass port information to the sequencer/tracks. So it would require a complete redesign of the environment. Logic 10 maybe!
  5. Yep you are quite right it is not optimal in any way, I should have said it is only really useful for devices that you can set the channel number on. I'm sure it may be possible in the environment to map ports/channels to channels but the environment confuses the hell out of me! What we really need is "midi Port" added to the inspector for the track.
  6. Concerning: 6) On a related note, I didn't check this myself, so can anybody confirm that Logic still doesn't have MainStage's MIDI-input assignments? In MS, you can tell each channel strip what device and MIDI channel to use, just like in every other sane DAW. As a result, it's never been quite feasible to do multitrack MIDI recording. You can already do this in version 8. Set the midi channels correctly for your tracks and record enable them. Set "Auto Demix by channel if multitrack recording" option on in File->Project->settings->Recording Cheers Andy
  7. This still happens in L9. I have four cores and usually one is pretty near the top while the other 3 are down the bottom. I have only got one overload message so far though with L9 and that was with using video. On L8 I used to get them all the time. So an improvement but not quite perfect yet.
  8. One of the main reasons for me to upgrade is that version 8 is now dead there will be no bug fixes or updates for it, as a user you are trapped really if you want to use Logic.
  9. Hi, I didn't stretch the region. All I did was turn flex monophonic on for the track. Andy
  10. L9 has the same problem with EXS using logics memory space as far as I can see. I also get the app closing down at just over 3GB used, it isn't getting anywhere near 4GB.
  11. I have an early MacPro with exactly the same problem you are describing. I can get the "Memory is low" message when only 2.5GB is used by Logic even though there is loads of free memory on the system. What other settings did you have to make apart from the EXS ones? Cheers Andy
