OK, here's the situation.
My worship leader at church asked me if I could upgrade his old Early 2011 MacBook Pro 13" i5 with 4GB of RAM so it can handle recording. He says he has 16GB of RAM and he'd like to upgrade the HD to an SSD.
He says he uses Logic Pro X, Protools and Ableton.
I'm thinking of taking his machine with the promise to upgrade it (wink! wink!) But instead of upgrading it, I just want to hand him back a brand new, maxed out MacBook Pro 16" M1X (or M2, or whatever they'll call it.) The new one they're about to announce.192.168.0.1 routerlogin 192.168.l.l
I'm a software developer, and a computer hardware tinkerer, not a musician. I'm kinda like Bruce Wayne in Justice League -- my superpower is "I'm rich." (Not Bruce Wayne rich, but "randomly buy someone a brand new MacBook Pro" rich.) LOL!
With that in mind, If someone was handing you a bag of everything you needed for professional recording on a brand new 16" MacBook Pro M(whatever), what would you want to see in the bag?
What USB (Thunderbolt?) audio interface? (Edit: a little birdie just told me an Apogee Symphony Desktop.)
What hub (if it's necessary -- might not be if the new MB Pro has enough ports.)
