  1. Delivered... If you guys notice something still up let me know about it. In this mode pretty much your browsing wave forms. Thats it. A good place to start from scratch, no? Complete Reset.pst
  2. Hello, I'm requesting a "Complete Reset" preset for the ES2. All parameters set to zero, oscillators off, X Y panner to center, no FX processing, No routing done, Filter set to pass all frequencies. I could do this myself, but I would forget something. If no one delivers I will probably just do it myself . I pray for someone to deliver though, because I do not want to take the time. In all honesty the most awesome thing would be if this preset was in ES2 and I just haven't found it. I know Steve Horelick has one of these presets *ahem*....
  3. I just want to say I really like that song. I will listen again to specifically that kick drum. How I "generally" make my kick pop is dip the kicks most powerful frequency in the other instruments of my track. Then compress it ever so skillfully. Although this isn't specific to your song mentioned, at least it will bump your thread up.
  4. I like the environment idea very much. That seems like the way to go. I have yet to use the transformer object so this is all exciting. I have a customized environment that I've spent some time on. I'm glad I get to make it "mo' betta". On another note... I really want to get good at sound design. It would be awesome to actually know "exactly" how a knob will change my sound, before I start playing with it. Also, I think it will help me flesh out sounds I hear "in my head" quickly. Well, thanks for the response fader8 I, as well as the rest of the forum, are continually impressed with your sage advice. Thank You, Greg ------------------------------------------------------------- I was about to get in the shower and call it a night when I thought of this... Using a similar process of cabling a transformer object to an EXS 24 or ES2. Can I use a single note on message to trigger several notes simultaneously, with any software instrument ? For example, Hitting the D5 on my pad or keyboard, will result in the chosen software instrument playing the triad (d, f#, and a) ? If this is possible I might never leave my studio again.
  5. If I understand, which I think I do.... You should go into your environment and edit all your "bus objects". Select "no output" on all your bus objects in the environment, that way when you send signal through a bus, it will only go to it's destination, and not output 1 and 2. How does this work for ye ?
  6. How can I go about setting one midi note on/off message to trigger multiple voices in Ultrabeat ? I have stacked kick drum voices in Ultrabeat. I'd like them all to play simultaneously, with one "note on" message coming from my MIDI controller. Do you have any suggestions on how I can set this up ? I'm using Logic Studio and an MPD 32
  7. Hello, Anyone using an MPD 32 ? Akai made them so that they swing when note repeat is in use. The swing can be adjusted between 50 and 75, but does anyone know how to turn it off? Thanks, Greg
  8. Steve your advice saved the day. I've been meaning to post about it here. Also, your Ultrabeat videos from macpro own s#!+. I wish you the best, and slap Igore for me haha, j/k. When are you releasing more vids Ultrabeat or otherwise? You are a ninja. Thanks!
  9. Thanks joe. How did you change your track size?
  10. Thanks for the help gentlemen. I'm just going to continue to use Ultrabeat for this drum programming. It is more efficient to just turn on the sustain in the envelope section of ultrabeat, then it is to edit the sample in exs 24. I appreciate your guidance and advice. Thanks again.
  11. You definitely have the sustained kick on your track miamiFUCKINGheat. Your tracks are tight. I listened on myspace today while trying to freak my exs24 mk1. Keep up the good work and thanks for your help. I'm watching this instructional video about the EXS hopefully I can pick something up from it about the sustain.
  12. On the EXS24, in the bottom right corner of the plug in interface, I increased Sustain and Release of ENV 1 and ENV 2 to the max. The desired affect was not achieved. I'm not sure if those are the amp envelopes though... Thanks for the quick reply. Is this how you sustain you kicks, sir?
  13. Hello, I'd like to use the EXS24 sampler instrument "Roland TR-808" kit" and sustain the kick drum. So that when I hold down the pad on my mpd, the bass drum note will sustain for as long as I hold it down. Currently when I hit the pad and hold it, the bass drum note plays, but stops once the end of the sample is reached. Do I need to buy a sustain pedal? Edit the length of the sample? Adjust gate time? Using Ultrabeat I can achieve this desired affect, simply by turning sustain on the bass drum voice. But again I'd like to use the exs24 to do this. Any Ideas? Thank you very much, g.f.
  14. I work in corporate a/v, and "true talent" is overrated (read as lame). With enough practice, I can teach myself to speak fluent Farsai. With enough practice I can teach myself to make intriguing music. "true talent" would make it easier, but if it were easy, I'd be a giant douche. Or quite possibly a turd sandwich.
  15. Anyone have this happen to them? *bump*
