  1. Alright, it seems that my trouble has ended.I don't know exactly what i did. I changed my recording format from Wave to SD2, Then i trashed the logic prefs and i did a sofware update on the web. Then everything is back to normal!!! see you Jeff
  2. Hi Noyan, Thanks for encouraging, everything seems to be normal in the audio midi set up, i did different tests with internal and external HDD and it still happens...so it's something with logic... Today i did command the crossgrade 7.2 from Apple ( I'm still on 7.0) we'll see then... I'll let you know merci Jeff
  3. Yes I am. It seems that when i try to open a damaged file (as a test) with quicktime, it says something about OS9 ? which i don't use...curious.........? Jeff
  4. Yes I use project folders, and it's not a case of finding tracks. When i do locate, it still says damaged tracks. Jeff
  5. Hi , I'm having recently a new bug which i don't have a clue of what it can be. From time to time, i have damaged audio files when i reopen a song. The audio files turn grey with nothing on it. I,m using logic 7.1 with G4 1.25 and MOTU 828 Thanks Jeff
  6. David you were right, it is the motu, I tested logic in my G4 with a friend of mine's presonus firewire interface and it's clean. So i'm gonna ship it to motu, I finally got the line!!! Thanks again for your help Jeff
  7. hey, motu tech line is always busy, I mean always .anyway... this morning the problem is still there , but doing few clicks ( 2-3 / minute) comparing to last night which constantly clicking the tracks ( I had to finish the session in my G3...the same motu works cleanly with it...) I had the same problem last year at the same period of the year, it's like it's in the air during spring, I resolved the problem at that time just by changing pci slots, but this year it's not enough... Can it be the motherboard capting static, and why it's ten times worst when using audio instruments? I think I'm gonna start praying!!! Thanks again David, p.s. sorry for my bad english writting, I'm french. Jeff Grenier www.studiomonocube.com
  8. no clicks when the drivers are at built-in, clean! ??
  9. HI David, I've tried both suggestions and the problem is still there, and it's not the motu because I tried it in my old G3, and it's clean. So it's my G4 or something in logic. Then I did some tests, it seems that the static clicks are more important while using audio instruments , also I tried different slots for the pci on the motherboard, and the closer i put the pci from the videocard, the more i get static clicks! Can it be the ram...or videocard...I don't know and I'm pissed!!! We have to find out Merci Jeff
  10. Hi , my name is Jeff from Montreal, I work on a G4 with logic 7 and a MOTU 2408 PCI 324. I have a weird static noise (small clicks) coming from the soundcard in the monitering and also on my recordings, and it's not a buffer issue (set to 1024) please help me thanks Jeff
  11. i hear somekind of a static noise on my recordings coming from the soundcard (2408) like a clock problem, and even more serious when i sync with video (quicktime movie). any idea^ thanks jeff
  12. i found it !!! my latency was coming from my ad-limiter set at the output of the virtuel mixer
  13. i already tried different buffer size, but it seems that the problem is somewhere else, more serious, like if there is a corrupted file or something weird coming from older sequences that brings back that latency, because i dont have latency when i reinstall logic, its only when i put back older sequnences. thanks still searching jeff
  14. Hi, I have a latency problem (big problem!!!). I work on MAC OSX with a G4 1.25 with 1gig RAM and a motu 2408. I only have that latency problem once I got a few tracks recorded. Then, I have a huge delay in the software monitoring and in the playback mode. And its always like that in each new sequence I start. Does anybody had that problem before... Thanks for your help! Jeff
