  1. Hi everyone. I'm wondering if it is possible to add the effects from a pedal/stompbox to an already recorded guitar part. In other words, I'm getting a new pedal and I would like to apply it to an old guitar solo. And, in general, I'd like to use this pedal but not have to commit to it forever by recording the performance through it; is there a way to use the pedal retroactively? Thank you! Daniel
  2. Hey! Thank you both! I tried both methods and they did the trick—even without having to go to the producer kits. Thanks again!
  3. Hello. I've always preferred using the Superior Drummer platform for drum parts, but I'm curious about using Logic's kits and drummers. I just went through Lesson 2 in David's book, which is very helpful—I didn't even know about the producer kits. Anyway, I prefer to set up the drums with the hat on the left and the ride on the right—just my preference—and the Logic kits seem to all be the opposite. So, when you use one of the producer kits, say SoCal+, it's easy enough to change the panning of the hat, as well as other main pieces. But the problem is that if I pan the hi-hat to the left, the ride stays there because it's coming from the overheads. There's no independent control over the ride, which is realistic enough, but is there anyway to simply reverse the panning situation for the overheads? Obviously, these are meant to be set from the audience's perspective—so I would like them to be the complete opposite. Obviously, I could bounce the drum part later, when I'm done with it, and simply swap channels, but I'm just wondering if there's a way to do it while you're still working with the drummer track. I thought maybe converting to MIDI might help, but it doesn't really because, as far as I know, there's no way to affect the panning of individual notes in the piano roll. And creating a separate track for the ride MIDI seems like it would really disrupt the effect of the whole kit playing together. Surely, there's a way to do this, right? Thank you! Daniel
  4. Thank you so much, David! And thanks for your work!
  5. Hello. I have purchased both David Nahmani’s Logic Pro 10.4 and his 10.5 books and registered them on Peachpit. For the latest book, I have downloaded the files available on the Access Bonus Content page. They include two Logic projects and a folder of “other” files. The book, however, on page XV, step 8, mentions a folder titled "Logic Book Projects." I do not see such a folder in the materials I just downloaded. I’m asking because the previous book, on Logic Pro 10.4, provided a download of a dmg that contained many more materials. Am I missing something? Perhaps because the book is new, these materials are not ready yet? I’d appreciate some help. Thanks!
  6. Yes, but I don't have it on all the time—and this has happened when it wasn't on. It's the Arturia AudioFuse. But it's always connected.
  7. Thanks for your help. Well, I do have two external hard drives (one is my Time Machine), and a headphone amp that is connected through just the headphone hole. I use that to listen to Apple Music and YouTube, and this problem never happens except in Logic.
  8. Well, the crashing—the shutting down completely of the program—happens with the iZotope stuff—but the other two things just seem to happen randomly.
  9. Hello. Just joined the community, but I hope someone can help. I just got one of the new iMacs—3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9, 128 GB RAM, Catalina 10.15.7. Logic Pro X (the latest version) has been problematic for me lately. I have noted three bad behaviors: 1. Crashing when I use an iZotope plugin such as Neutron 3. 2. Freezing that requires a Force Quit (no discernible pattern). 3. Occasional cutting out of sound. If I open up Apple Music and play something, and then go back to Logic, the audio returns. Any thoughts? I hope it's not that my new Mac is broken. Thanks for any help you may be able to give! best, Dan
