  1. Oh wow. That’s great. It pretty superior I guess to Sampler. Maybe more cpu hungry though. thanks for showing me David that very helpful!
  2. Yes so far so good. but no capabilities like loop parameters and fade values are available in Alchemy’s sample editor. It seems to me I can only use the samples as imported in Alchemy, correct?
  3. Aha great I got it. So you mentioned doing this in Alchemy. But does Alchemy have the same sample edit capabilities as Sampler? I can't seem to find the fade in/out function or loop function where you can loop the later half of the sample for example...
  4. David, I'm currently trying to do this and found this thread. However I can't get the zones/groups to overlap. Is there a trick to this? Or possibly a video (my YouTube crusade came up empty)?
  5. Hi David, okay thanks that worked. I also figured out why I wasn't able to assign the pitch bend. In fact the pitch bend was already assigned to Sample Alchemy by default but my midi controller (Arturia Keylab88 mk2) was not sending any pitch bend info. I did a firmware update and that fixed it. Was able to record pitch bend CC's after that and it was automatically linked to Sample Alchemy. Mystery solved, thank you so much. Vincent
  6. Yeah I’m just actually bending from F# to G. But I can’t do the next step: use the pitch bend wheel or automation to make the pitch change. I tried assigning but there’s no knob to assign to you see. How would you do that In Sample Alchemy David?
  7. So I figured I could use the pitch bend to create a custom "glide" effect each time. Does anybody know how to assign your Pitch Bend wheel to the new Sample Alchemy plugin? New video for clarification: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/u1u6jc4qt9lh0xarbhv0j/Pitch-Bend.mov?rlkey=8stp4pg371fl8flmnzdcpc5ij&dl=0
  8. Transporting the created VI to Alchemy gives me a 1000ms Glide in Alchemy but that doesn't really cut it as it's way too short. Do you guys have any tips on getting a longer Glide between notes using recorded samples in Sample Alchemy? Video for clarification: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/rlou1m5bnd2vgu3l08a64/Glide.mov?rlkey=jj36jx63a6chpcru67fnhwkr0&dl=0
  9. Pitch was ON unknowingly. To be honest I also didn't know that would make the Anchor disappear but yeah seeing how the two functionalities work they are really mutually exclusive, so that actually makes sense. Thanks you solved it!
  10. Check this weird glitch out. Or at least I don't know what to make from it. This audio region has got no Anchor icon. Bounced it into place only to find that did have an Anchor icon, which I then moved to the transient. Has anybody encountered this before and is there an easy way to get the Anchor back in the original region?
  11. Yeah no I'm afraid that's not it either David. I thought so too for a second but the guitar amp signal transient is never behind the big transient of a guitar DI signal. Also when I moved the faulty regions to match the Q-ref the transient markers went to single markers. In other words, I have no idea what causes this issue or how to prevent it. But to solve it you can move the region to match up the transients, then press opt+cmd+Q followed by Q for quantize. Sometimes it only works if you press these shortcuts twice. By "works" I mean the double transient markers are gone and both tracks sync up. So problem solved, sort of.
  12. Hi David, although you do see two quantise references indeed, these are divided over two different groups. Group 1 for tracks "Guitar 1 DI" and "Guitar 1 Amp". Group 2 for tracks "Guitar 2 DI" and "Guitar 2 Amp". So these two quantise references are not linked in anyway and I actually need the two of them. Thanks for your suggestion though.
  13. Why does Logic do this, create these double Flex Time rulers on the Amp region while group quantize-locked!? Even when I delete the doubled rulers with the eraser tool in the Track Audio Editor and check in the File Audio Editor there are no doubles they still come back when I turn region quantize off and on again... How to fix this?
  14. That's what I thought but they're fully silent. It's frustrating but I think auto plugin deactivation is just simply broken in Logic 10.8.1. Check this one out: Logic won't let me active plugins on the Stereo Out while others on the Stereo Out work perfectly fine. No matter what I press or reload, they won't open. In fact, the same plugin SoundID worked fine on the Stereo Out until I moved it one slot. It's just broken.
  15. Hi David, okay thanks that's good to know. I also found that if I mute all track that feeds into the auxes that Logic deactivated at least some of the plugins on the auxes. Not really sure why it doesn't deactivate all but hey it helps.
