  1. Once again, thanks, David. I'm a little confused here. What do I have to do under the I/O Labels so the stereo Output is actually 5-6? The D-Subs in the back of the Carbon is XLR, 1 thru 8. XLR 5-6 Ins & Outs is my WARM Bus-Comp, therefore 5-6 in Logic should reflect the same. I also brought up Cubase and Ins & Outs 5-6, like PT, is correct. Why do I need to reconfigure this in Logic? Thanks!
  2. Thanks, David. I'm using Pro Tools Carbon. Under PT, the In's and Outs are correct.
  3. There may be a bug with 10.7 when assigning In's & Outs to external devices. My setup consists of a Warm Stereo Buss Comp on the master plugin chain. I use the Utility, I/O plugin for the In's and Out's, which are 5-6... except, Output 5-6 are 7-8. Under Pro Tools, this is not a problem so I figure it's an LP issue? Does anyone care to try? Thanks!
  4. That's what I figured, David. Thanks.
  5. Is there any way of using Pro Tools user-created presets in Logic, or a way of converting them? Thanks!
  6. You would think all that brainpower at Apple would have designed a more obvious indicator within Logic. Let's hope in a future release, like 11.
  7. Hmm I thought I'd given that a go... That was easy enough Thanks, David.
  8. After I find my desired custom background, (I suppose you can say brightness), when I Quit and restart Logic, it'll go back to Dark mode. When I restart Logic, I'd like for it to remain in Custom mode. Thanks.
  9. I'm searching everywhere for this and I've gotten no answer. I'm running LP 10.5.1. Under Preferences, Display, Tracks, I set my Background to Custom, set the desired color and close Preferences. I quit Logic and bring up the same session, my Custom setting doesn't remain and in fact, it goes back to Dark mode. How do I keep it so when I Quit Logic, Custom color remains? Thanks.
  10. Thanks, David. I could do as you suggested but actually, instead of assigning Busses on the piano and drums, I'm using Outputs so now my Solo issue is no more. Cheers!
  11. There's also a problem here. When I solo the Piano and Print Track, the Drum track can also be heard. This is where the confusion lies.
  12. Thanks for the info, triplets. Let's disregard the Solo Safe mode for a moment. Take a look at the attached image with no Solo Safe buttons... all I want to do is when the Piano is in Solo mode, have it go through the Print Track but I'm not able to. Under the Prefs, the Input Monitoring only for the focused track is unchecked so I should be hearing the Piano... Btw, I do see the M (Mute) button flashing on the Print Track but when I do Solo Safe this track, the Drums will play with the Piano in Solo Mode. Very confusing and different than in Pro Tools. Thanks!
  13. I'm a Pro Tools user and recently started teaching myself Logic. I've created a large template but I'll make this simple with only the necessary tracks since I'll be uploading a Mix image. I have 2 Instrument tracks (Piano & Drums), 1 Master Plugins Aux track and a Audio Print Track. The Instrument tracks are bussed out (Bus 32) to the Master Plugins Aux track (Input Bus 32 and Output is Bus 48). The Master Plugins Aux track is bussed to the Print Track which is set to Stereo 1-2 Out. (Input Monitoring is unchecked under Prefs, Audio, General, as is Software Monitoring) I have applied Solo Safe to 3 tracks. The Master Plugins Aux track, the Print Track, and the created Stereo Out track. When I click the Piano Solo button, both instruments continue to play... the same applies to when I only Solo the Drum. I'm using the same template idea I have with Pro Tools but I can't seem to get this to work. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
