  1. I agree with both previous posts try out the controller with Logic beforehand if you can, the best thing is also to figure out what you would like to control in Logic so you can find the controller which will work for you. If you do buy off the Novation store we do offer a 30 day return period if the device is not for you.
  2. Hey, sorry to hear about the SLMKII you have. Both the Launchkey MK3 and the SLMK3 ranges have Logic Pro Scripts you can install into Logic for integration as they both use HUI and neither has weighted keys. If you are looking for any specific integration or functions in either controller let me know and I can help further, or we have more info in our user manuals on our site - https://customer.novationmusic.com/en/support/downloads
  3. Hi, the Circuit doesn't respond to MTC but should still respond to MIDI Clock and Realtime. Can you check that the Circuit has Auto-Sync turned on by holding down Shift while powering Circuit on? (Remember to save any unsaved work before powering Circuit off) then check that the first blue light in the bottom row is lit up.
  4. Hi Andy, the cable could cause issues if it is deteriorating or old, you could test the 2i2 I would recommend enabling direct monitoring on the 2i2, connecting a set of headphones to the 2i2 and then connect a mic to input 1 and listening to the microphone signal in your headphones when you speak into the mic, then try the same on input 2. What are the mics you are using and do you get the same noise regardless of the mic or XLR cables you try?
  5. Hi, As there is no direct communication integration with the Patch names to a DAW you would need to label these manually in Logic, depending on the VST or Virtual Instrument you are using you would need to name and then save these patches accordingly. All of the Summit Patch numbers and names can be found on Page 50 and onwards of the Summits user manual.
  6. Hi, The Summit will change patches based on Program Change messages sent to the unit. There is this article by Apple on how to set up Program change events in Logic. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/logicpro/lgcp2158a633/mac On the Summit on Page 6 of the MIDI Pages settings, you can adjust the setting controls for how the Summit handles MIDI Program Changes and Bank Changes. I would suggest looking over Page 42 of the Summit Manual for greater detail https://fael-downloads-prod.focusrite.com/customer/prod/s3fs-public/downloads/Summit%20manual%201.0.1.pdf Patch Select via MIDI Displayed as: Bank/Patch Initial value: Rec+Tran Range of adjustment: Disabled, Receive, Transmit, Rec+Tran With the default setting of Rec+Trans, Summit sends a Program/Bank Change a message whenever a new Patch is loaded, and will also load a Patch when commanded to do so by an external MIDI.
