  1. Hi, I often use alternative tunings on my guitar, which can slow down identifying note names, when working in logic. I am easily able to create custom tunings and chords in the chord grids library, however I am unable to extract the midi and use those chords on the piano roll, to assign to different instruments. Am I missing something really simple? I have tried adding the chords into the score tab, but again it doesn't seem to generate the midi note information. It does however add a visual of the sharps into the midi region, as seen in the picture.
  2. Hey, I'm not sure if this is a common issue, but I seem to have maxed out the plugin manager. I have gone through my entire plugin collection and put them in category based sub folders. The last 30 or so plugins I've added don't jump into their alphabetical order amongst the others in their category. They are stuck at the bottom of the list in the order I added them. Although they seem to end up in the right place when loading them inside logic, it's already getting confusing to look at the manager as I have so many plugins. The screenshot below highlights the plugins that aren't behaving as expected. Is this a bug, or does the manager have a limit to how many it can organise visually? I'm not expecting many people to have experienced this, but hope it reaches somebody that can shed some light on it. Thank you The highlighted plugins should be dispersed into their corresponding subfolders above.
  3. The closest I have got so far is by swapping the quick sampler for the main sampler. In the zone tab of the sampler click - file name - load audio file - option box (bottom left corner of finder) - tick preview audio file in sampler instrument. Hey Presto! This will audition the highlighted sample in sync with your midi pattern before clicking ok. Extra tip - Leave just the synth and zone tabs open on the sampler for a less cluttered view of the essential parameters for your basic drum shaping!
  4. Hi all, forgive me if this topic has already been covered or this featured exists and I just haven't found out how yet... I'm just wondering if it's possible to click a next/previous button to scroll through user samples in Drum Machine Designer? The new DMD integration with quick sampler is a huge step in the right direction, so it would be a game changer if I could quickly browse and click through my one shots whilst the track is playing. My current work around is loading each kit piece through a separate instance of Sonic Academy's KICK 2 plugin. It has similar pitch, filter and envelope parameters as the quick sampler, as well as the ability to load three simultaneous samples layers (+ the sub layer) per note. To be fair it works pretty well, but it just feels like it should be possible with a Logic Stock plugin. Thanks in advance.
