  1. Is the user guide description unclear or you've tried it and it didn't seem to do anything? If the latter, the impact of the parameter is most apparent on rhythmic material like a drum or melodic loop. It interacts with the Speed control above it, and also the chosen loop mode. Another factor that affects all of the above is the project tempo when the audio is initially imported (and the analysis mode(s) chosen). It's a difficult parameter to describe (as it interacts with/is reliant on other parameters and the "type" of audio material being analyzed, sped up/down, looped, etc.) Probably the best way to have a "lightbulb moment" is by importing different kinds of audio material and messing around.
  2. Do you use an external sequencer (beatstep, etc.) or drum machine....or software alongside/with Logic? I want to know why Logic is cycling at bar 61 and not bar 64, per your cycle region.
  3. In addition to @wonshu's excellent suggestion you might consider using folders/track stacks. Packing a bunch of tracks into a folder will make things "neat" onscreen....and if you need to make edits or think I "do" need that 21st drum track, you can open the folder and all of the existing regions will be where you remember them being. Once you're done with your changes - close the folder. The other plus with working this way is that you can copy, mute, or apply things like automation at the folder level - affecting all regions/tracks inside it...so you could fade out all drums, for example, with a single volume automation lane - rather than automating 20 tracks individually.
  4. 10.7.8 or above supports round trip. Versions below this don't support round trip. You'll be fine with 10.7.9 (it actually contains a couple of small fixes that improve round trip).
  5. For "round trip" between platforms....you need: Logic Pro 10.7.8 on MacOS 12.3 or higher. Logic Pro for iPad 1.0 or higher. LP4iPad is currently at version 1.1.
  6. You're welcome and this .....ahem....."enhancement" has caught out a lot of people.
  7. I take it this is a totally custom key command set? By default in the US key command set: Key "2" will open screenset 2. Cmd-W is the default Close Window key command. Shift-P is assigned to Search Sample Peak.
  8. I wasn't going by the image, I was going by what you stated in the original post. Is there a surround channel/track in the project? If there is....this is why the appearance of the Inspector destination channel strip has changed. Remove the surround CS/track and the appearance of the destination CS in the Inspector will revert to the "Stereo Out" appearance. This ^^^^^^ assumes that you haven't changed your I/O settings and names - explicitly or accidentally (in Logic's settings). Are you using a stereo or multichannel audio interface?
  9. What's the keyboard make/model? Are footswitches/pedals connected to it? Do you have more than one keyboard/drum machine etc. and are they connected? If so, how - MIDI, USB? Do you use any MIDI utility/monitoring software or run another program (Reason, Live, etc.) alongside/simultaneously with Logic?
  10. It's the presence of the surround track/channel strip that is causing this. Are you actually recording/monitoring/mixing in surround? If not, delete the Surround track/CS and things will return to "normal" (Stereo Out).
  11. GB for iOS can record at 24-bit, but not at 48kHz, AFAIK. The internal audio engine is set to 44.1kHz, I believe. Logic Pro 4 iPad supports 24bit/48kHz. That said....this isn't a cut/dried thing. Internal audio hardware - iPad Pros (and I think later model non-Pro iPads) support 48kHz by default. Earlier/lower-end iPads default to 44.1. When using external audio hardware - iPads "can" support higher rates/bit depth - but this is dependent on the audio hardware being used and if it can be physically switched or switched thru a software utility. For simplicity - LP4iPad offers cross-platform compatibiity with Logic on the Mac (projects, not just wav files...so FX, synths, presets, patches, routings, region/arrangement/tempo, etc.) - and you can subscribe monthly/yearly....as needed. Monthly might be best if the x-platform thing is only needed a couple of times a year. Personally, had no problem with paying the yearly subscription and have found that LP4iPad has been used way more than I expected I'd use it. It'll never be my primary DAW, but it's come in handy on a few occasions (including a couple of impromptu recordings/jams - and I just happened to have the iPad in the car at the time...so got lucky). Not sure about other iOS DAWs.
  12. I'll preface this by saying I'm no lawyer.... Apple Loop content is royalty-free and can be used as you wish - for music creation. You can't, however, repackage Logic content (loops, etc.) and re-sell it as a sample collection, for example. https://support.apple.com/en-us/101908 WRT Spotify, "samples" would probably suffice...as you are using royalty-free content provided by Apple with Logic. https://artists.spotify.com/en/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-sample-clearances
  13. What option is shown in your Transport bar?
