  1. I've done that twice. Still getting the pop-ups.
  2. Same trouble here. I have to click through 14 pop-ups whenever Logic starts, clearing a bunch of these, starting with REV-AU. I have un-installed the Steinberg software but still Logic is bothered at start-up. Thoughts?

    10.6.1

Anyone have a copy of 10.6.1 they could get me? Despite having updating turned off, I have found my machine updated overnight, and 10.6.2 is incompatible with my Softube plug-in, which is on every channel of every project.
  4. Aha! Found it. My Recording Preference was set to Merge, not take folder.
  5. Been reading from , and "Note: Each previously recorded take is automatically muted during recording." is where my system is not behaving as expected, nor do I seem to have the little arrow at the start of the waveform that opens the multiple takes. Must something other than "Show Advanced Tools" be enabled for multiple takes to be recorded on separate tracks? I have in my head that this is similar to a virtual track on a standalone multi-track recorder? is this right or am I misunderstanding the concept of take folders? I quite like the notion of doing drum tracks this way. I am not a fantastic drummer, but over the course of several takes I can manage to get enough right to edit a drum track together.
  6. I'm working with the software instruments, recording drums with a Roland V-Drum TD-17 module. I have gotten the drum set all tweaked as to balance and volume of the individual pads and have been recording fine, except for the fact that if I hit a particular drum ever so slightly differently in my second or third "take" I'm getting the original hit, plus the hit from take 2, 3, etc. In trying to delete MIDI info for a new track all I've managed to figure out is deleting every note individually, or deleting the entire track and starting over from scratch. I must be missing something?
  7. Coming to Logic from a Korg D888 after trying Audition and Reaper I can say, for this moron anyways, Logic has been vastly easier on the old brainpower. It's still beyond the limit of what I can manage to understand, and the whole MIDI thing is still a real impossibility, but I can do more already after three weeks or so with Logic than I was able to do in Reaper after a month.
  8. What a better interface that is! Thank you so very much. This forum is helping me to get this software pared down into something simple to use.
  9. You grab the knob by leftclick-holding the knob and drag up for increased values, down to decrease... Thanks, finally a simple answer for this ridiculous idiot. I may just bag the effing MIDIMIX, today the knobs do nothing, except for one which used to control attack, now makes the song start at the beginning again. So damn annoying to have nothing work reliably.
