  1. Thank you for the links!
  2. So I opened up a project I hadn't worked on in a while was command+tilt through my plugs, and this smart controls showed up. Thank you for the info, I guess I'll go research what this does...
  3. I've been using Logic for at least 16 years, maybe 20, and today is the first time I've EVER seen this thing. Tried to trace back to where it came from, and got lost. Anyone know what this is? Sorry for dumb question.
  4. Absolutely not. Is the Master Fader at unity ? Yes. And this might just be an oddball scenario then, because I'm not doing a "normal project" at the moment. I'm taking a very dense mix, stereo file, and doing all sorts of weird time stretching and pitch stuff with it. So I'm sure some artifact transient or something just snapped it up that high. I'm paused my stream/recording and right now the master is at -1.6, so it was probably just an anomoly. But really, thanks so much for such an easy solution to the Blackhole routing. The setup I was using before was actually a team effort between me and the creator of the software! I should probably let him know about this. I'll credit you.
  5. This is a good solution in theory, however it does not work for me: I must set the "Blackhole" routing software as my I/O device, and it is only stereo.
  6. This is so insanely simple and effective that I never would have thought of it. Genius. Only thing... I'm just gonna assume that with the Stereo Sum fader at 0, and nothing near peak level in the mix, the output on the channel strip reading +6.4dB just comes with the territory for this use case?
  7. Hopefully this helps? ROUTING.png I'm trying to make my life easier while using Blackhole to route two stereo sources. Can you explain how you got two Stereo Sum channels in that picture?
  8. Hi all, Does anyone know of an easy way to take anything and everything that's going out of the stereo master bus in Logic, and sort of split it so that it goes to Outputs1+2, AND Outputs3+4, simultaneously? I've been doing extensive work with Blackhole for routing to OBS, Zoom, and a dozen other places, and it's awesome. But I have to use a template that is a really elaborate and somewhat klugey mixer, having all channels sent to a bus instead of stereo out, then that bus bussed to another bus, so I can have Outputs 1-2 go through the Blackhole to any software input, while Outputs 3+4 from Logic actually send to my interface's Outputs 1+2. It sounds confusing, but think of it as having everything shifted up by 2 channels. This is a pain in the ass and it would be great if I could somehow just push a magic button and have a "Second Stereo Sum", which would go to my monitors while the first one goes to OBS streaming, or a Zoom lesson, or wherever. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the tip! That hadn't even crossed my mind, but it's a fine workaround for now.
  10. ***Hello everyone on this board. I just now created an account for this problem specifically, even though I've been using Logic for almost 20 years now. Googling didn't get me an answer and I have a ton of work to do, so I hope someone reads this and can offer some help!*** I just opened a project, and something seemed "off", I had to turn on Input Monitoring to be able to hear my bass DI, when that was not recently the case (I would just arm the track and monitor). Then I opened up a plugin on a mono track (Drums OH Left) that had the same plugin on the next mono track (Drums OH Right), and when I went to copy and paste a small adjustment in the noise gate threshold (Waves C1-Gate), there was NO option to copy OR paste. These are the universal copy and paste buttons that appear in every single AU Component plugin at the top of the window. I tried opening up other plugins in that project and in other projects, and every single one is missing Copy/Paste, EXCEPT for Slate Digital VMR. Is Slate breaking my machine??? Any help here GREATLY APPRECIATED, Thanks. Logic Pro X V10.4.8 Mac Pro Mid 2012 OS 10.13.6
