  1. Hi, This is quite an open-ended question I realise, but here's my situation: I've been running Logic Pro X on my Mid-2010 MacBook Pro (2.66 GHz intel Core i7, 8Gb RAM, 512GB SSD, Sierra). I recently tried 'upgrading' the OS to High Sierra, Logic crashed on launch, reverted back to Sierra and it's fine now, but the old graphics card shutdown glitch (fixable on the motherboard I know) has got me down. I've upgraded it as fas as I can now...It's time for an upgrade I think...[cue huge blank page...] I'm considering a new MB Pro, but was also looking at the Mac Mini, MacBook Air. I want this next purchase to last as long as before at least, but I have to have more than 8Gb RAM this time and want to avoid this graphics card problem. Would I need to get another i7, or would the newer i5s be comparable? Just asking for people's personal experience at this point. Thanks.
