Hey guys, just wanted to thank you for sharing this tip with us. I've been wondering how to do this for a while and never thought that although you could control these parameters through MIDI to build something in the environment to control them. Very cool! Here's a section of a template I built that contains a ready to go mixer with 128 audio, 64 MIDI and some auxes for effects. On screenset 2 at the top of every channel strip is a box to link channels without volume or pan and the floating window contains an "on/off switch" for all 15 insert slots on the audio, MIDI and mix bus tracks. great tip! One problem though, I tried to copy and paste the plugin setting from one track to another and the delay time reverts back to 666.6ms. Same thing happens if I save a 0ms time as my "#default" setting. Anyone else running into the same issue? I'm using 8.0.2 on 10.4.11.

I hear ya, digital connections can be confusing but you can hook your monitors up directly with aes to an AD-16x no problem at all. Take a look at the back of the AD-16x, there is a breakout cable for 16 AES outputs and you just connect two of those to your monitors http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/ad16x.php?show=pictures
